Butchers like this are few and far between... Traditional English Butchers that take a real pride in their trade and customers...

I've been passing here for many years and I've always admired how smart the shop looks... it's not very local to me so until today I've never tried it.

Today I was passing so hit the brakes

I got here just before closing (4pm) and still got service with a smile...

I wanted some lamb chops to scratch a meat itch I'd been having... they didn't disappoint, the tray of boneless lamb chops looked fresh and inviting... They cooked up lovely with a little of their mint rub (photo) 😋😋

The shop looked very clean and the products in the displays were beautifully presented...

Most of the displays were already tidied away and cleaned down ready for the close of business so I will have to add more photos next time I visit.

But I did spot the tray of Lashfords sausages... so I had to grab a bag of them bad boys... They are really good sausages 😃

Very pleased all round today and will definitely be using these guys in the future.

After years of working nearby, I finally had the sense to pop in for some lamb, for a curry. The butcher advised me on what to get, and diced it for me. They had some fantastic produce on display, and I ended up with some extra goodies: Lashford sausages, and some ham ( having witnessed a clearly wise, picky, experienced lady ask for some before me). I think I am highly likely to become a regular customer, despite the fact that I normally only have the time to order on the internet. I'm converted!

Sent someone with a list to get me some meat. Clearly said BONE OFF , belly draft ; it came with all the bones still intact. Then the other thing I ordered the butcher changed it to just 2 bags of pork chops. We didn’t ask for this. Not happy. Felt very ripped off especially for £80. I cut the bone off the belly draft. The bag weighed a tonne just from the hide and the bones. Thankfully it tasted good. But the 2 bags of pork chops have ended up in the freezer as I don’t even like pork chops.
