Beautiful settings, stunning fish and friendly staff. Not a easy place to fish despite there being a good head of trout. The water is crystal clear and for the novice its difficult to get close enough to cast to the water without affecting your back cast or spooking the fish. Experienced fishermen will do well. There is a lot of weed but this probably helps with the clarity of the the water. Some friendly advice from the Bailiff on fly choice and how not to spook the fish put me on the right track and a pleasant morning produced 2 rainbows first about 2lb the second about a 1 lb. Throughly enjoyable day.

I went for a private air rifle lesson. Great place for target shooting. Usually have Sunday sessions on a fortnightly basis. Lodge does bacon cobs, sausage cobs and breakfasts. What more could you want? All welcome beginners and experts. Can even loan an air rifle if pre-arranged.
