Woodlea Farm Shop, Cafe and Bakery - Dunfermline

Woodlea changed hands in Feb, and is lovely. The cafe is light and welcoming with friendly staff. Lots of soups and panini on the menu. Loaded fries are yummy. The farm shop has a good range of local fruit and veg, and the home baked breads, scones and cakes are excellent. Well worth giving it a visit.

Great find. As a self confessed coffee snob I was blown away by this little hidden gem. Oat milk flat white 10/10. Shy staff but professional and food was good. If you are passing, the farm shop has some superb sourdough bread, other baked treats and a butcher shop with lots to choose from 👌🏻

We never eat in the Cafe. The gentleman who gave us forriged wild garlic and rhubarb was brilliant. We went into the bakery and bought fantastic focaccia. The Butchery though, was an eye opener! We bought a kilo of fillet steak. Just eaten two large ones with wild garlic focaccia.
You need this in your life, I promise!
Last thing. The guy with the beard in the butchers shop was amazing. People who take pride in an artisan trade need to be supported!
Great food, great customer services. Simple as!

A really lovely café with a menu that is just a little bit different, at a great price.
If this menu was in one of the cafés in my hometown, I'd be expecting to at least a third on top.
The Ras-El-Hanout spiced, skin-on, chips were beautiful.
We took some of the amazing scones home with us and had them with a brew later.
Great stuff!

Very poor service. Sat down at a table and waited ages just to get a menu. The lady spoke too us twice and said someone will be over shortly. After 10 minutes of waiting and still no menu one of the staff went over to someone else that had just come in and sat down to take their order! We left after that.

My partner and I visited here Sunday 2nd June. The cafe was relatively quiet. A few tables occupied outside, one table taken inside. We queued 15 mins to place the order.
Coffee arrived 15 mins later with no milk. After going inside twice to ask for milk I was finally handed a burning hot milk jug. Not a very pleasant experience.
After waiting 45 mins for our breakfast rolls to arrive my partner went back inside to ask how much longer we’d need to wait.
The manager claimed he didn’t have the order. He blamed his staff. That was enough for us. We left and won’t return. Refund given

The food was very greasy, I found a hair in mine and was not worth the price we paid for it, can’t recommend unfortunately.

Edit in response to owner: I was in the cafe on Sunday morning (between 9.30-10.15ish) in a group of four adults and two children. So curious to know how cctv would give you information on whether I visited when you don’t know what I look like from my account name. The owner’s response is a clear indication of the disappointing state of Woodlea since the change in ownership.

One of the best finds in Dunfermline. Amazing atmosphere, great home made food and lovely staff. Seeing the animals and having the lovely fresh farm shop there too is a massive bonus especially with kids. Will definitely be back very soon
