We often go here but there are 2 things that you should be aware of ….. the ‘inside’ cafe part is usually very noisy due to the wooden flooring allowing all the chattering to reverberate around. Also, the ‘outside’ patio area is lovely but you keep getting ‘wafts’ of sewage smell coming across and spoiling the experience. Also, if you go after about 3.30 the staff are putting the chairs over the tables while you are still eating/drinking which spoils the relaxing experience …please wait until after closing time .August 2024 :- still the same purid smells outside on tables furthest from the patio door. Still ‘closing up’ too early before the advertised closing time.

Small and expensive I'm afraid, wanted Bamboo plants but not priced so had to go in to ask, £69.99 for something smaller and more expensive than we got elsewhere.

The staff are so helpful and friendly here. I purchased garden furniture that is lovely quality and great price. Delivered promptly the next day, brilliant service with smile. While there myself and my mum popped into cafe, beautiful fresh cakes, scones and nice area to sit. Thank you. Very friendly and welcoming place.

Lunch was appalling. Ordered the cornbeef pie which came with chips, carrots, mushy pees and gravy. The pastry was soggy and wet, carrots were bone dry, mushy peas were dry, very small amount and stuck to the plate and dry as sticks. When I told the staff all she said was I will tell the kitchen. The food was red hot and seemed as it all had been heated in a microwave. The table also had crumbs in the gaps on the table top.

WOW! I came for the afternoon tea with my dad and grandparents to celebrate birthdays and my ending of A levels and just wow. The freshness of the food was incredible, the amount of food means we’re left with the pleasure of taking loads home with us AND the use of the terrace to eat it all just tops it off. The sun shines down and helps create the just purely incredible and enjoyable experience- if you don’t go you’re missing out!

Beautiful plants in abundance, for indoor or outside, coffee/tea shop bit pricey, £2.60 a cuppa tea is bad enough but £4.25 for a scone.....
In my opinion, far too much when you can get a marvellous and large at it, scone from Brickyard Bakery in Guisborough for 20% of the price....

Enjoy popping in here. Lovely plants, nice selection. Good carparking. Cafe is very good and very popular, had to q to get in today.
