Joined our guide Julia for a Big Tour walk today, which was a wonderful experience. We saw marsh harriers, female hunting low over the barley fields, with wonderful views as it flew back & forth in front of us. Spotted the male when we returned, + buzzards & a red kite. Lots of butterflies including silver washed fritillaries, Julia was so knowledgeable explaining how to ID them all. The ponds were full of life, dragonflies & damselflies, hunting & ovipositing, + recently emerged willow emerald damselflies . Highlight was time in the beaver pen, learning & seeing evidence of these incredible ecosystem engineers. We didn't find the Tamworths, Exmoors or Redpolls but this didn't dampen our enjoyment. Would highly recommend a visit/tour.
After the tour we drove to Heacham & walked along the coastal path, enjoying amazing views of Wild Ken Hills' wetland marshes, absolutely teeming with birds. Lovely to lie back in the warm sun listening to skylarks & see how the habitat has recovered after the fire! Spotted an interesting bee at the start of our walk, video below.

Looked forward to our visit here for some time and wasn’t disappointed. Anyone with an interest in Wildlife & Nature will value what is being done here. We all need to play our part and spread the word of the fantastic work carried out at Wild Ken Hill. Thanks to our guide Carl Chapman for sharing his infectious enthusiasm and knowledge, we enjoyed our time here immensely and look forward to returning in the future to see the results and fruits of the teams labours. Thank you.

Fascinating tour of the variety of endeavours being undertaken at Wild Ken Hill on 13 July to support healthy, regenerative land use and wildlife. A great guide, full of passion and very knowledgeable, particularly about birds and beavers. I was inspired to visit via the Watches and came away very happy indeed to have made the effort to visit and support this pioneering group of people. Well done to all involved.

it's snettisham woods. not good. Don't come here. Sandringham and dersingham is better. not enough bins. nothing to do if you're a tourist or a local I recommend staying away from it please. Everyone, especially parents and children, DO NOT VISIT. It says theres wildlife but there is not so save your disappointment and take my advice.

Fantastic tour on this rewilding and regenerative farming estate, which we visited on Sunday 3 July. During the tour we learned so much about the different environments, we saw so much wildlife, birds of prey, wild Dartmoor ponies with a foal, the Tamworth pigs with piglets, so many water birds like avocets and an abundance of butterflies including the rare white Admiral. There is a special bever tour as well. Highly recommended for any wildlife enthusiast! Go book and be part of this wonderful initiative.

Very good local employer and landlord
Well worth booking a guided tour, if not just park at Heacham or Snettisham beach and have a great walk.

The website isn't immediately clear but you cannot just turn up here for a walk as with other rewilding projects or nature reserves. To see the site, tours are not optional but mandatory. Tours take place on specific days at certain times and cost a minimum of £20pp (bookable through their website). We did not find this clear from their website so turned up and were disappointed.
