An absolutely stunning house in a beautiful location. We had a family holiday here and couldn't have had a better place to stay. Rooms were well sized with comfortable beds, and all spotless. The kitchen is very well equipped for catering for a large number of people, with a big dining room for all to eat together.

The grounds are beautiful, very quiet and secluded and wonderful for an evening stroll.

Although it feels like being in the middle of nowhere, Dumfries is only a short drive away, and the coast close by too.

Wonderful place, well worth the wait and I can't recommend it highly enough.

Beautiful place with most of the old parts maintained well. Had a really great time with friends and family. Will definitely stay here if we get a chance to.
Surrounding areas are wonderful and great places for walks. Town is not too far off.
Will recommend this place for sure.

We hired the house throughout new year for a group of 18. The house and grounds were lovely and homely. Everything was well equipped. The sitting room with the fire was a personal favourite. The owner was very responsive and helpful with any requests. We are already planning our next stay at Kirkconnell House.

Great stay this week - hands down the best large property for a big family getaway out of all the ones we’ve stayed in in recent years. Excellent amenities, well stocked kitchen, really amazing house, courtyard and gardens for a secluded stay. Location is fantastic for accessing hiking, cycling, beach trips and pubs nearby. Will certainly be back.

Spent a lovely weekend here with friends. Comfortable, clean and well equipped house with lots of inside and outide space and walks from the door. Clear dark skies for excellent star gazing and we spotted a badger!

Absolutely wonderful 👌 Pat was so helpful and welcoming and the house/Castle is so comfortable and atmospheric with so much space for everyone to enjoy. It's also in a very lovely part of the country with lots of wonderful interesting places a short drive away. We all felt so comfortable would definatley love to return to this beautiful place 👍
