W&BRC- NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE-
We were promised by Barratts & Wimpey developers over 5 years ago:
A New town centre.
Restaurants.
A Cinema.
Retail Shops.
A new school.
A new sports centre.
A new health hub.
A new supermarket.
Transportation.
Bars.
So far we have The Shed which is far too small, too uncomfortable ,too cold in the winter & too hot in the summer, it’s just a glorified Uber eats takeaway service.
The school built was far too small , so a large extension is going to be added.
The music venue side is ok thanks to Rob @ The Phoenix.
The leisure centre is far too small, since it moved from Mill Chases a lot of people are unable to book the water Aerobics ( we have been trying to get on the list for 3 years now with no sucess.
No restaurants, no shops, no cinema,.no bars, no retail shops, appalling transport system & still no supermarket and the health hub.
3 years ago we meet W&BRC at QT, we raised these issues above, we heard ( as always) a lot of false promises of delivery.
The new supermarket has been off and on for 5 years, people are getting fed up & angry as they feel they were sold a pup.
As I have spoken to Clr Leader Andy Tree many times ( he seems to be the only one and Adeel who really care about W&B), WHY is it taking SO long to do the work which has been promised for so long.
We have so many people moving into our area based on false & misleading promises of new infrastructure. By W&BRC & the developers .Selling a house in our area is becoming very difficult as Bordon is being flagged up as having NO infrastructure, just more and more people moving in.
I will be with Andy Tree at the next W&BRC QT in April, I hope I and my neighbours don’t get fobbed off again on false promises of delivery .

This company do not reply to emails and has a complete disregard for the current residents when it comes to performing their construction. They don't seem to care what damage they could be causing to the existing house nor care to simply reply to these concerns, just keep ignoring and moving on with their work. Not even open to a conversation.

Absolutely disgusted how this company is selecting the business partners/customers. The games are already made with their "sponsors".. I am local resident and tried to open a business.. they used my idea and someone else opened it..whilst I was told that I can do this type of business as there are rules... They delayed opening the new city centre .. it was supposed to open in 2019.... Bad management.. appalling... No managers can be reached by phone or online... I called them, left them messages, sent online enquiries... This project has no future... They are not interested to develop this town.. no real helpful initiative to support local residents to start a business... Everything is about making quick money... No long term perspective...

It's a building site in most places. Generally safe to walk and drive around but not somewhere you want to visit except on business.

Floods biblically in places when it rains so be careful where you drive or walk in bad weather.
