Drove by there a few times ( being a carer ) decided to give it a try last week , thought it was great .
Basically for children under 8 plus for pensioners who feel young at heart
Loved the wee piglets and the tractor up too the farm

Rem to wipe r feet before you go home or you'll get your partner or parents shouting , who brought that xxx in lol

The museum itself is well-designed, with engaging exhibits on farming history, rural life, and the evolution of agricultural tools and practices in Scotland. The short walk or tractor ride up to the farm adds to the charm, especially for kids. Once there, visitors can explore the historic farmhouse, interact with friendly farm animals like cows, pigs, and chickens, and see traditional farming in action.

The staff are knowledgeable and welcoming, and the whole site is clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully laid out. There’s also a café with good coffee and light meals, plus a gift shop with local products.

Wester Kittochside strikes a great balance between education and enjoyment. It’s ideal for a relaxed day out that still feels enriching.

This place is magic when the sun shines bring your wellies if its raining lots of mud. The park is great for the kids with picnic tables and plenty of space to run around informative museum with cafe well worth a day out

Plenty to see and do, tge tractor trip up there is all the fun for the kids too. Worth the money alone.

Great place for families. Tractor up and down as my grandson loves the tractor ride otherwise great wee walk down from the farm to the car park. They are missing a trick with not having another play area and somewhere for snacks and a juice up at the farm and maybe a couple more benches. Minor details, well worth a visit.

Once again, we had a great time at the Rural. It was a terrible day, but the tractor still went up to the farm the house is open again, which is lovely, to see. Sooty & Sweep(the cats)are a family favourite, but the 5 week old calves were just gorgeous. Back at the museum, we did the winter trail, great fun. Had a mooch in the gift shop, bought a couple of things, but it is a little pricey. Finished the day off with a hot choc/tea in the cafe, great. As always the staff at reception, in the cafe & up at the house are so so nice, & informative. Lovely people. Visit this unique place, u will be so glad u did, not matter what age u are.
