Just had a very lovely three nights here. The pitches are immaculate, all have both gravel hard standing and grass. The facilities are spotless. It doesn’t say it’s a dark sky area but we saw the most gorgeous planets and stars as we had clear nights. Also super quiet so we slept an obscene amount of hours more than normal! Short and easy (but muddy given the weather we’ve had) walk into Bridport and down to West Bay! Will definitely be back!

Beautiful Spot! We sat on the terrace with our coffees and enjoyed the sunshine and the views! Staff were lovely, menu is a little pricey, well very pricey. We had a pot of tea for two, and we each had cake with clotted cream on the side, it cost over £17!
I will say however, the cake portions were humongous! I've never been served a slice of cake that big in my life before! And it was very very delicious!

The farm shop is beautiful, a gorgeous display of fruit and vegetables and a great selection of local produce. I very much recommend a visit!

Nestled in the beautiful Dorset countryside, Washingpool Farm Shop & Cafe is a hidden gem that offers a delightful farm-to-table experience. My recent visit to this charming establishment left me impressed with its warm ambiance, friendly service, and delicious offerings, and I am excited to share my review.

Upon arriving at Washingpool Farm Shop & Cafe, I was greeted by the serene and picturesque setting. The farm shop and cafe are located on a working farm, surrounded by rolling fields and stunning countryside views, creating a peaceful and inviting atmosphere. The rustic and cozy interior of the cafe added to the overall charm of the place.

The farm shop at Washingpool offers a wide variety of fresh produce, meats, dairy products, and other locally sourced goodies. It was a joy to browse through the shelves filled with fresh vegetables, fruits, homemade preserves, and artisanal cheeses. The quality and freshness of the products were evident, and I appreciated the emphasis on supporting local farmers and producers.

The cafe at Washingpool was equally delightful. The menu featured a range of homemade dishes made from fresh, locally sourced ingredients. From hearty breakfasts to delicious lunches and tempting baked goods, there was something for everyone. I opted for a farmhouse breakfast, and it was a delicious and satisfying meal. The food was cooked to perfection, and the flavors were outstanding.

There's also a great playground for the kids.

Stayed for two nights in our campervan. Farm shop and cafe was excellent and very popular. Only slight negative was lack of a washing up area. Toilet and shower block was good. View down to Bridport was lovely.

This site has made it into my top 5 sites never to return to. On arrival I followed the arrival instructions to let them know I had arrived and was eventually greeted by a friendly young lady who obviously was not familiar with the welcome greeting/can do/can't do procedure and had to read from a checklist. Over the days that followed, I got the impression that the caravan site business was just an afterthought to make some easy money. For 5 days I never saw anyone checking the site, one of the toilets ran out of hand soap and was not replenished for 3 days. I know you may say why didn't you report it, but I wanted to see how long it would take, as I never saw anyone cleaning the toilets or showers. Oh yes the showers, they were for you to clean after use with a dirty mop and a dirty empty mop bucket. The pitches had on pitch grey water drainage, but I don't have the eqipment for that. After 4 days I spotted what appeared to be a grey waste drain for us unfortunates who don't have long drain hoses to use on pitch. This drainage point was not sign posted to show it's existance. As for sea views, you need binoculars to see it. It's a working farm, so some noise was inevitable. The only good thing was we had sunny weather. £192 for 6 nights on this site is OTT. Sorry but never again.

What a lovely farm shop! We stayed within close proximity of the Washingpool Farm Shop for a few days just unwind from our busy lives and take some time out. On the second morning we ventured off for breakfast and drove past Washingpool that ticked all our boxes and filled up a box of goodies from fresh Rump steaks, veggies and the most delicious fresh Foccacia! We had everything we needed for the duration of our stay and didn't need to venture into the Bridport for a food shop! We highly recommend Washingpool Farm Shop!

Stayed nearby. Amazing place so much more than a farm shop, deli has an extensive range of chutneys, spices, jams, rice wine, vinegars, etc. Meat is from their own farm as is most of the veg. The fruit selection is very good and of a high standard. The curries from the freezer are superb. We had lunch today, ham, egg and chips and a cheese and spinach soufflé. Both lovely. We'll stop for breakfast another day.
Here we are again, July 24. Been many times since last review. Cafe is still as good and the shop still the best farm shop we know.

Excellent find!…came across this farm shop by chance…well stocked with lots of fresh local produce and wide range of chilled food items. Helpful staff who go above and beyond. Full covid19 precautions are in place (masks required upon entering). Cafe adjacent to the farm shop offers a reasonable menu including all the usual favourites such as cream tea. Coffee tasted good and the Dorset Apple Cake was first class. Play area for children and stunning uninterrupted views across Dorset. Family run business which shows. Ample parking and full disability access. Outside portaloo only available at this time which would not be accessible for disabled customers. Highly recommend. Will visit again. 😀
