A big cinema with lots of screens on offer.
Staff are friendly and helpful and there’s the usual over priced sweets and drinks available.
We watched the new Captain America film in the iMax screens upstairs and bought the VIP seats, which were ok.
You have to slide forward in your seat and lean back to be able to see the whole screen as it’s too big for the natural seating position. As you’re not sitting naturally, it hurts your lower back and spoils the experience.
The VIP seats would be comfortable but don’t recline, which would have fixed the poor viewing position and discomfort whilst watching the film.
The sound quality however is excellent, but the picture lost the HD quality a few times throughout the film, and seemed slightly out of focus.

What a lovely evening my daughter and I had on Wednesday this week! We didn’t book (which was a mistake on our part because they were very busy) but staff went out of their way to accommodate us. Jack W on the counter was so polite and so helpful finding us last minute tickets for the Bridget Jones film. There weren’t two seats available together until 9pm and it was only 6.15 at the time. Then he found two seats at 7.10 which were only two seats apart from one another. We thought the two people sitting between us might be willing to swap. He then referred us to Sam (female) at the screen entrance, who looked after us until we went in to watch the film. She got me a chair to sit on in the queue as I’m disabled and can’t stand for long periods. Sam saw our ticket numbers and when the two people sitting between us arrived, she asked them very politely if they would mind swapping with us. They were happy to swap and we enjoyed comfortable seats next to one another and a great movie. It’s five years since I last went to the cinema but thanks to Jack and Sam I won’t leave it as long next time! Thank you both so very much.

The main thing I am happy about this theatre is the recliner seats.. worth the cost of ticket.. it comes as 9.99, 8.99 and 7.99 depending upon the premier seatings.. actually all 3 types of seatings are good.
Good sound systems adds to the movie experience.
Only thing which i need to improve is that the cheshire oaks Vue cinemas never always have all malayalam movie screenings..
It has a good parking space. Friendly staff. Total 15 screens plus IMAX screens..

For comfort, you gotta give it to VUE for sure. I reached a bit early before my movie start. Well who doesn’t like those recliner chairs, oh dear I almost fell into sleep but I managed to hold myself till then.
One more thing was interesting which is no movie trailers before the movie starts. Although I actually like watching trailers. Never mind. Anyway I enjoyed watching here.

Went to see captain America on the release day (14th Feb) and the screen kept going weird and there were periods of discolouration. As the movie went on the IMAX screen got worse. The prices were good value for money and I probably should’ve spent a little more on the recliner seats, however the standard seats weren’t very comfortable and as it was a full cinema, it was very crammed in the IMAX screen. Staff were friendly and good and drink were okay for value of money, just usual cinema prices.

Speaking about IMAX experience (I watched alien romulus), the sound was great, although I'd turn the volume down by 10-15% as the high tones almost hurt your ears and it's permanent ear damage and irreversible hearing loss.
I felt like the picture quality wasn't that great, I think possibly the projector's lamp needs replacing as the picture wasn't that bright, colors were a washed out and desaturated, blacks were grey/brown, low contrast, especially in the lower right part of the screen...

Excellent imax cinema offering everything a large main cinema offers. There is plenty of on-site parking and good accessibility for wheelchair users. Clean toilets very fresh smelling, so a pleasure to use. There are plenty of screens showing all the best blockbuster films with big comfy recliner seats. It is one of the best cinemas in the area. Food, snacks, sweets, drinks , popcorn, and a ben & Jerry's ice cream counter. I travel 20 miles to use this cinema as I find it better than the best. Recommended.
