Very quaint with lots of 'quirky' things to look at ... hanging from the walls and ceiling. Lovely choice of sandwiches and hot/cold drinks ... The milkshakes looked rather splendid !
There were plenty of staff who were helpful ... We didn't have to wait too long to be seated, and our request to be moved to the outdoor seating area was quickly fulfilled.
The order arrived pretty quickly, and the sandwiches were full and well presented.
There was no pressure on us to vacate our table and the atmosphere was relaxing.
Possibly a little bit pricey if you want a quick bite with a cuppa, but you can't fault the presentation and quality if you feel like a treat.
We will definitely be returning.

A massive thank you to VBC for having such amazing customer service for my takeaway afternoon tea order on a Saturday morning first thing and it was a lot! Lovely place, highly recommended and would definitely get booked in as they are so busy - you can see why by how lovely the food is and how lovely the people are. Thanks again ❤️

Stopped in for a ham and cheese panini with side salad. Was quick friendly service and very reasonably priced for the quality and quantity of food served.

Salad was fresh with a nice balsamic dressing, panini was tasty and notably the ham was very high quality and a generous amount.

A beautiful Mothers Day afternoon tea 🩷

Booked monthsssss in advance as the afternoon tea here is very popular, and now I understand why. Absolutely everything served was incredible.

So fresh, insane portions and delicious. One of those meals that won't be forgotten about anytime soon 😍

The service was not good, which was a shame, but the food made up for it.

Also some music (for atmosphere) in the upstairs seating area wouldn't have gone a miss 😂

Charming, rustic and well laid out cafe serving a wide variety of drinks, food items and cakes. Lovely seating throughout the inside and out, well situated. Accessible with clean toilets. Menu items are generally well priced and service is good with takeaway options. Highly recommended, literally the only complaint I can think of is their milkshakes are on the small size for something advertised as 'large' 😅

Can’t beat vintage birdcage for afternoon tea! And their festive afternoon tea is something else! You need to book well in advance, but it’s highly worth the wait!
