Tasha is not only a talented baker but also really caring and friendly. Tasha makes sure that your idea is clear and regularly checks in. The cake was incredible for our wedding. It looked amazing and tasted delicious, it didn’t last long around our guests when it was cut! The gluten free elements made it less stressful for me as a GF bride as well as allowing some of our guests to be able to enjoy a big part of our wedding. I cannot thank Tasha enough for the whole experience, you are wonderful at what you do and you made our wedding extra special. It won’t be our last cake from Valkyrie Cakes.

Tasha designed and produced a fantastic cake for my partner's 70th. Not only did it reflect his favourite pastime - Radio 4, on the vintage-style Roberts radio he loves - it also tasted delicious.

We went for the traditional vanilla sponge with lemon icing. I ordered hoping to have a party on the birthday day, but my partner's ill health meant we couldn't. But we did share slices afterwards with various neighbours, which they loved; some even asked for more! There couldn't be a higher recommendation.

Oh, and you can freeze the cakes too. We've got some stored away.

Tasha was truly the best wedding cake maker we could have gone with. She took great care at every step of the way to ensure everything was perfect for us and worked with us to create our dream cake. She went out of her way to get a sample of our chosen flavour to us when she didn’t have to, and took some lovely photos of the cake setup so we could look back on them before we had the photographers photos back. She left us such a kind gesture of a card as well on our wedding day which was really appreciated as someone who holds cards and words close to my heart. The cake itself was amazing and guests were sneaking extra slices away at the end of the night in napkins because it was so delicious! The cake design was beautiful and so well crafted, we switched in the last few months from a simple to a much more complicated piping design and Tasha executed it beyond perfection. We had lots leftover too - it created more sliced than it looks and it fed all our guests, so will be freezing to enjoy at a later date! She was considerate of any dietary restrictions and ensured we were well aware of ingredients and how to keep the cake fresh, how to freeze etc. The customer service was beyond lovely and if we are ever in need of a cake in York again we will be coming back.

Tash made us the most beautiful 3-tiered wedding cake with 3 different flavours - Red Velvet, Vanilla and Biscoff. Picking the favours was so hard but very enjoyable we had samples to choose from and our top were the 3 we picked plus the Carrot cake which might be the best we have ever tasted!

Once we cut the cake there was nothing, but crumbs left our guest loved it!

Tasha is the loveliest human and makes the coolest cakes ever! Tasha made our wedding cake in September and was communicative the whole way through the process of discussing our ideas and beyond. The cake was beautiful and Tasha catered to our vegan dietary request and everyone commented on how tasty the cake was (even though we had a lot of non vegans at our wedding)! We can't thank Tasha enough and would 100% recommend her!

WOW, WOW,WOW!!

The passion she has for designing and creating delicious cakes is unbelievable!
She shared our vision for our wedding cake and delivered something beyond my imagination.
It tasted incredible and we have even kept slices in our freezer because we keep going back for more!! We have had so many compliments on the cake from our family, friends and our venue!
I would definitely recommend Tasha to everyone not only is she extremely talented at what she does but she is extremely friendly and you can tell she has a real passion for what she does!

Tasha made our wedding cake and it was absolutely perfect from start to finish. From the very beginning, Tasha catered to our every need. She even created a sample box based on new favours we wanted! She was so organised, communicated everything clearly and was just so lovely to work with. I would pick her again and again for any cake I wanted. She created our stunning wedding cake in banoffee and carrot cake - we had bought loads of cake boxes under the impression that no one really eats wedding cake on the day! So we had all these boxes ready - but little did we know that every single piece was eaten straight away on the day. I’ve literally never heard of anything like it - but we had so many people come to us afterwards to say it was the best cake they have ever had. Can’t recommend Tasha enough!
