Tiso Perth Outdoor Experience - Perth

After wanting to do more hikes next year, I decided to visit Tiso Perth to get fitted for some winter boots.
Not a great selection on the shelves but I eventually found a pair I liked, so I wanted to be fitted correctly for them.
I spoke to a staff member who appointed someone to help me out in trying them on. Upon this staff member who was appointed to help, didn't seem the slightest bit interested in helping whatsoever.
My feet were never measured and a guess was made upon my trainer size.
After trying on 2 sizes and not being happy with the fit, the staff member lost all interest in helping me find the correct size and so I walked out not long after.

I went elsewhere to a family run shop who were more than happy to size me up and find the correct size for me, and so, I made a purchase at this shop instead.

Not a great experience in the slightest and maybe he wasn't actually capable at the task in hand.

My wife purchased a pair of walking boots a few weeks back, service provided by Jack was exceptional, today given the service experienced previously we went back, waited for Jack to become free and purchased a pair for myself, again Jacks knowledge and assistance was perfect, cracking young man who’s an asset to the business, well done Jack 👌

It's a Tiso shop so it has the usual range of good gear, if a bit expensive. There's a lot more space than the Rose St store in Edinburgh, but (maybe) a bit smaller range. Edit: I originally said, "Usual well-informed and helpful staff", but I found the staff were unhappy looking and not particularly helpful today. My wife gave up on one product because she didn't want to interrupt a group of staff chatting in front of the display. Good coffee in the cafeteria (different company). A nice place to shop, though.

*** Warning *** Always leave the car park by the most northerly exit. Queues back up from the main A9 roundabout, and you just can't get out of the "obvious" exit!

Great experience at Tiso Perth. Me and my girlfriend were both looking to get new pairs of boots for hillwalking. Both Ethan and Brian were extremely knowledgeable and helpful, allowing us to try on many different boots and giving their insight on what boots our best suited to our needs and foot type. Would highly recommend anyone looking for new boots to go into Tiso Perth.

I love TISO! 😂 it’s like the english version of a Cotswold clothing but way better, more choice of brands, equipment, activity, generally cheaper too. I visit the one near Glasgow about 10 years ago and was very impressed,

I visited the one in Perth about a couple of times this week already and every time I go in I find something new to look/buy, I have my wife hooked at this shop too now 😆 the loads of parking outside and the coffee shop upstairs make great coffee’s. Highly recommend visiting this shop, even when I’m holiday winter/summer to by clothing if you forgotten your at home.
