We were really looking forward to our stay at Tinwood estate but I have to be honest and say that what I was expecting was not what we got.. so when you get there, you have a nice welcome by the owner, then shown the process of ordering food with your 3 glasses of wine…
As we were all looking forward to our tour, the owner calls all the visitors and this is were it starts to get disappointing… your given a 20 minute speech about how they started the business through her husbands family, then your lead to the edge of a vineyard and allowed to touch a leaf!!! Your not shown round the vineyard but informed of how many acres it started with, then when they expanded into more acres, by this time you can see that people are just looking on their phones as the tour presentation was more of what they have then a 15 minute talk about the grapes… by the time the owner has started to talk about the wines, she had lost the crowd as they appeared very bored of the ā€œme, me meā€ presentation.

After this you then do your wine tasting which is very nice. But please be clear of what your not getting, you will not be getting any tour of the vineyard or see how the wine is made, I have been to 2 other places that were much better whereby you see how the how process of wine making is completed.

We were lucky enough to stay in one of the pods, I have to say very stunning looking over the vineyard, however when when we got in there it was very clear that the cleaning hadn’t been completed to a high standard, there were 2 large bags of dog faeces left on the decking, as I walked out I tread straight into it, then dog slobber all over the inside of the glass again not cleaned,
( I don’t want to say how much I paid for this but over Ā£400 for one night)

One of the bowls still had toothpaste in it, where I would assume it’s was from the previous person that had brushed their teeth and spat in the bowl and it was left there!!! It clearly hadn’t been cleaned.

I feel I have been fair in this review and i honestly believe through our experience that their are much better places to go that give a more comprehensive wine tasting experience.

We’ve just got home after a night staying at Tinwood and I had to write a review of how amazing it is. From the tour and wine tasting to the luxury feel of the lodges, the whole experience was great and we can’t wait to come back! Breakfast delivered to your room in the morning is a lovely touch. We also had tapas in the restaurant with some of the wine which was delicious! We had such a great time, thank you to all the team

Stunning location, the lodges are private and very comfortable. Great views and south facing so the patio is in the sun when it’s shining! The lodges are spacious and the bathroom is huge with a really nice bath with bubble jets. There’s tea and coffee, water and then plenty of wine you can drink and settle up when you leave.

The breakfast was a nice filling continental one delivered to the lodge at 9am. There was granola, fresh fruit, toast and a boiled egg along with a croissant and some spreads and honey. All delicious.

We did a wine tasting and afternoon tea. The wine is delicious, my favourite was the Blanc de Blancs. The afternoon tea excellent. The sandwiches wee tasty and the sweet treats were very well made and plentiful. Jody did the tour and was so passionate and her eye for detail was excellent. We really hope Tinwood continues in its success!

We had a wonderful stay. Thank you.

Booked a two night stay to celebrate my wife's birthday, we were not disappointed. Received a warm welcome at check in and the hospitality continued throughout the stay. The lodge we stayed in Pinot Noir was exceptional. A huge double bed with great views of the vines outside and every detail considered. The walk in shower was huge and we even took advantage of the large Jacuzzi bath. Little details such as sensor lighting when you wanted to visit the loo without the need to turn on the lights in the bedroom, a fully stocked fridge and even a deck of playing cards! Sufficiently warm enough to sit outside on the comfy furniture to enjoy a drink in the afternoon. Breakfast delivered each morning was excellent with a wide choice to suit all tastes. We took advantage of the tour, wine tasting and afternoon tea on the day we left again first class. Just a shout for two local restaurants Cassons which is a fine dining experience and the Anglesey Arms which is just a few minutes walk away and offered great value for money.

Just spent 2 nights in a wonderfull Lodge on Tinwood Estate.
We had the best time relaxing unwinding and enjoying the picturesque scenery. The breakfast hamper was a delight and just popped outside our door. No decisions to be made also with the tasty dinner Hamper.
We also joined the tasting and Vinyard tour with Jade who was lovely and so knowledgeable and easy to listen to and take in the history of the place.
We loved the bikes the sauna and also the jacuzzi bath...bliss !
We would definitely come back 2 nights is a must to really relax into it

The lodge was so comfortable in so may ways.|We were able just to relax and just reconnect. |The view onto the vineyard was a bit dull but that's down to time of yesr.|It was nice that the lodge was set back so it was completely private. I was impressed with the food and thoroughly recommend their wine

I never knew this place existed and stumbled into it during the end of the Halnaker windmill trail, desperate for a coffee.
It's set in a beautiful location and was really tempted to try the wines, but we arrived close to closing time and wouldn't have had time to enjoy it properly.
The accommodation looks nice with some great views.
