My first visit with high hopes based on reviews, surprisingly small car park for a farm shop, ended up double parking to nip in and get some veg. Greeted warmly by the staff member at the till, however, not advised of a very long wait for hot food - had been offered the choice of hot or cold takeaway and chose hot, would have been good to have been told about the wait first. Coffee was more like hot milk barely any coffee flavour. The young staff are doing their best, they just need more training and a better system for tracking orders as they were questioning each other as to whom had done what in order to ascertain which orders were outstanding and the next to be tended to. Disappointing that the stated concern about the environment doesn’t extend to offering any organic veg. Sadly it was an underwhelming experience for me.

Popped in for a coffee and felt a little peckish so asked if they could do a couple of slices of toast, No sorry we don't do toast, but noted on their menu they do very expensive poached eggs on toast, they lost 3 customers after that as we all walked out and went somewhere else! They can obviously afford to be picky about customers. Won't be going back.

The food is served in evo plastic takeaway cartons.
The pasty and my friends toastie wasted lovely and I can't knock them for that....
But
The cornish pasty came wrapped in paper.
I tried to eat it with a knife and fork as I was so big.
Unfortunately the paper got soggy from the heat and fell apart sticking to the bottom of the pasty. I had to use a bit of my friends takeaway box as a plate. I understand that no-one likes washing up but really.
Thank God I changed my mind and didnt have the poached eggs on toast.
Also the atmosphere was not very friendly. No good morning how are you or anything like that. I was quite surprised as on the only other time we came here the staff were lovely.
I asked a few questions about products they were selling. The young lady didn't know so asked her boss who said she didn't know as it was sorted by someone who no longer works there.
Also the ladies was filthy. Especially the kids stool and mini toilet seat. They were both covered in urine and poo they definitely need a clean. I did tell a staff member but they didn't seem to worried.
It is such a shame as I said the food was amazing and a good selection to choose from. Wonderful and very beautiful items from local sellers for sale in their shop.
The 2 stars are for those 2 things.
Service is so important to get people back though the door.
Went for a drink and a catch up in the Three Daggers pub next door. Absolutely brilliant pub. Lots of outdoor space with beer cam and pizza hut. A massive park the other side of the fence and a comfy cosy feel to the bar.

Stopped off here on the way back from another farm shop, so glad we did, came away with bread and jam doughnuts freshly baked on the premises with some of their own 3 daggers beer brewed just downstairs. All this and the setting was beautiful too. Worth a visit

I come in here fairly often and have spent a lot of money here. The staff will know me...

So the extreme rudeness i experienced with my mum today was pretty shocking. We decided to try the cafe and can say the food was extremely poor. But even worse than the food was the staffs attitude. I can see its a recurring theme from previous comments that it is unwelcoming and staff rude...

Well we tried to order Bacon with toast for a fussy 2 year old. The lady said it wasn't an option even though the menu had eggs on toast with the option to add bacon... Odd. So they said they could make a bacon sandwich with the bread toasted. Came out as bread. So asked for it toasted and was met with hostile attitude saying they couldnt do it and they begrudgingly did toast it but said next time it wont be an option...! When the lady taking the order told us they can toast it!

Also had a smoothie come out that had a lid that didnt fit meaning it drenched myself and went on my toddler too which made her cry as it was cold and i told them the lid didnt fit the cup and the lady rolled her eyes and told me well its the lid that comes with the cups, no apology. Shocking. Just so rude. We had to ask for some tissue to wipe ourselves up, wasnt even offered. Nothing.

Nothing will be done about it but really if it has been mentioned a few times the manager should look at this problem as it is unpleasant for customers to experience such atrocious customer service.

Really nice farm shop and cafe, just on the border of my favourite Wiltshire village, Bratton. Nice posh staff too. Good services.

I got some great Christmas gifts here this year. As I browsed the wonderful selection of cards and gifts I was sorry I'd had lunch beforehand -- the takeaway food selection and fresh food on offer seemed delightful, delicious and fresh. And of course there is fresh brewed coffee and tasty snacks on hand too. All in all, a great visit. Highly recommended.
