Genuinely some of the best pies I’ve had. I regularly buy their steaks, and joints for Sunday roasts and have never been let down. If you want sausages for a full English, there’s no better place to buy them. Scotch eggs have a beautiful consistency and the egg is so perfectly cooked.

The foods so good, when I moved to London I paid to have their produce shipped to me there.. London doesn’t come close to offering fresh, local, handmade food like this.

We recently visited the area to see friends and dropped in to this lovely independent & family run butchers! We got a pork pie & scotch egg both of which were delicious and infinitely better than any supermarket ones we have had before!
full of flavor & packed with quality meat!

We also took some meat home including steaks and sausages both of which were superb!

We wish you were our local butcher and if you are local to the area lucky you!

We love Thorntons. The quality of meat is exceptional and I love the fact it’s all so local.
The pork pies and scotch eggs are excellent and we tend to always take one big pie on holiday with us as it’s so tasty and all of our family love it too.
The skin on boneless chicken thighs are a brilliant addition to the range.
The cooked ham never last longer than about 3 days in our fridge as it all gets eaten!
Our two little girls think the sausages are the best around and when they see we are going to the shop one of them asks ‘for the yummy sausages’.
We are so lucky to have this butcher in Easingwold.

Fantastic food and fantastic service.

We love independent businesses and love savoury pies so imagine our delight, when we stumbled upon this little gem!

The pork pies were absolutely divine and the scotch eggs, delicious. We have also purchased a meat hamper and it did not disappoint.

What a superb family butchers! All staff are super friendly and welcoming, they cannot do enough for you. The meat is simply the best, all locally sourced and of the finest quality. Their sausage's and pork pies are scrumptious! I Cannot recommend Thorntons butchers enough!

Can't recommend Thornton's enough - over the years we've had steaks, chicken, small pork pies, large pork pies, lamb pies, chicken pies and they've always been of top quality and full of flavour.

For the past couple of Christmases, we've got all our meat (chicken, sausages, bacon, pork pie for boxing day) and it's been declared the star of the show each time!
