Stopped in for a homeward bound breakfast.
Had the 'Yorkshire Breakfast', a tea and a coffee.
Arrived just after 10am on a Thursday, which was good timing, as it got quite busy after about 10:15am.
Breakfast was fantastic, bacon was probably the best I've ever had. A doorstop of a piece of Black Pudding was very tasty.
Now to have another coffee and a piece of cake...if there's enough room for it.

Oh, they also have Gluten Free options.

A nice little farm shop too

We popped in here for a much needed tea break and were suitably impressed! A great selection of fresh and local produce is available to buy or you can simply have a relaxing coffee and cake or a hearty breakfast at the cafe before you continue your travels. Enjoy!

Called in for tea and cake on our way home from Thornton le Dale. Staff were no where to be seen. Found 3 of them gossiping outside the toilets. Returned to the counter when another staff member washing up ignored us and carried on what she was doing. Eventually someone else turned up, we asked if they were still serving and she said they were and then very aggressively said, "What are you after?" We said tea and cake and she told us to sit down and said if we wanted to eat then to order in the next 5 minutes then promptly left. We decided due to total lack of customer service skills and the feeling that the staff wanted to shut up shop and go home that we would leave and save our money. I won't be returning.

I’ve called in here several times on my way to Whitby. It has all the bones of being a decent place. Nice building, attractive cakes, a selection of ‘farm shop’ style produce however every time I’ve been I’ve been left wanting by the staff. They just don’t engage with the customer. I thought today i had become invisible as I waited to place an order. Several staff came towards me and then turned and walked away.
Half way through my lunch I mentioned that I was just popping outside to check my dog and that I would be back very shortly and just no acknowledgement. You would think i was speaking no a foreign language. Not a smile to be had and they don’t cost anything.
I’ll drive another five minutes and check out the garden centre next time. This place just isn’t worth the visit Disappointing

Walked in this morning to see a lovely display of bread none of it priced. Asked young lady behind the butcher's counter if there was a price list. She started to tell me some of the prices. I was a little shocked as I thought it was the law that things had to be priced. I picked a loaf up and looked for the price as I thought she was telling me that the prices were obvious. She looked at me and said "as I have already explained the bread is not priced". What she meant to add of course was "you thick old man". I then noticed that none of the veg or fruit was priced either nor is there a list on display which I would have expected for the bread. As my wife was paying for something else at a different counter she noticed that one or two prices were being applied...... Why could she not simply say "sorry , we haven't got around to it yet" rather than make me feel as I simply wasn't wanted. We had gone in for something for dinner, and a morning drink. We walked out. We are only visitors to the area. Hope the locals are treated a little more caringly.

A lovely well stocked local farm shop with a good choice of meats, pies and local produce. Very family and community orientated and the funky pumpkin castle play area for kids is a nice touch. Pumpkins everywhere, a great selection of sizes and prices to suit. A lovely idea, well recommended.

This is a great little cafe and coffee shop. It has a nice farm shop and butchery and the prices are fair.
It's worth a visit although some of the local produce (jams, chutneys etc) are not actually that local.
However the place is good and the staff are nice.

It was a last minute booking, maybe the best camping booking i have made. The shop, cafe and buthers area are incredibly clean, well stocked with fresh local produce and the staff are amazing, so helpful and friendly. The pitches are huge and well maintained, ideal for all types of tourists/campers.
The animals are so tame and friendly the kids love it.
The breakfast is the best i have had, everything is fresh and very well presented.
The evening barn bar is a little treat, great variety of drinks for adults and kids plus the pizzas are very nice.
I cant praise this place enough, yes it has portaloos and no showers but it is a proper campsite, and it does state that so i wasnt expecting them.
I have already booked in for the following week and were all excited to return.
I would like to thank the whole place for doing an amazing job in the short time its been open, you have a regular from now on.
