We saw Barnum at the Watermill, never been there before. What an amazing find, lovely restaurant and outdoor spaces, food was excellent and the Theatre, although small, worked really well for the show.
The bench seating was comfortable and there was plenty of legroom where we sat on the front row.
A very different experience to larger theatres as you are really in with the action, highly recommended.

Beautiful location. Beautiful venue. Intimate feel due to size. Christmas decorations were lovely in the lounge/bar. Huge Christmas tree and cosy log fire. Very good production (Pinocchio) ...first half better than second half....finishing monologue could have been better written (bit bland?)

A gorgeous, quirky theatre with a perfectly intimate space. I had the pleasure of interviewing Shirley Ballas on stage, no lies, and can confirm the staff were thoughtful and perfectly professional throughout, as was Shirley Ballas. I hope to return with or without Shirley Ballas.

Brilliant small historic & traditional theatre set in the countryside, lovely staff & great performances, with a lovely setting and with a choice of facilities eg restaurant, cafe and bar. March 2024 a great evening to see Sherlock & the poison wood, great modern take to the character, plus tried the pre show dining room brilliant

A fabulous evening in an historic setting. Had a light supper and drinks in the garden before the performance. The Lord of The Rings musical was an exceptional experience, partly outdoors then moving into the theatre itself. We would most definitely recommend this venue, and only wish we lived closer as we would attend on a regular basis

It's a fantastic little theatre. Decent accessibility for less mobile people (including designated parking), and an excellent restaurant and bar for those wanting to make it a longer stay. The theatre seats are very comfortable, and viewing perfect from all areas of the stalls. The staff are super friendly and helpful too.
