Nice food and very good sized portions and welcoming bar staff.
We had gone there on a whim and managed to find a table as several were reserved. However halfway through our meal there were several groups come in complaining that there was no room and a few dirty looks shot our way and were obviously known by the bar staff and therefore would have known it would have been busy and we got some dirty looks. Not being local and just thinking oh we'll have a pub lunch would have completely understood as we didn't know we had to book but it definitely felt one of those places where you're not from round here even though we were welcomed by the bar staff.

I’ve been coming to this pub for a great many years in and off and always find it to be a lovely pub. The wine and beer choices are fantastic and the staff are always happy and friendly. This is a great pub to visit in the beautiful village of Houghton and Wyton.

Lovely roast dinner, probably one of the best I've had out. Service very good, fast, attentive and very friendly. Will be going back and would highly recommend.

Went in for a bite to eat. I asked if we could get a table and wasn't asked if it was drinks or food as it was busy. Only to discover there was a restaurant attached round the other side which was empty. Would have been good to have been told this. The restaurant was nice and cosy, good food, great service

Perfect stop after walking or riding from St.Ives along the Thicket path.
Great food and Atmosphere.
Huge garden with children's play area.

Popped in randomly for a bite to eat on the way back from a walk around St Ives. The garden was full of happy faces and we'd been in the sun all day so decided to eat in the restaurant. Service from the waitress was excellent. We both ordered Fajitas which were really tasty. I'd definitely revisit if in the area.
