I love this little shop, every time I visit I feel like Alice in wonderland, there’s always something new to my eyes on the shelves! Such a nice choice of food and wine, and also their coffee is a real coffee.
Must try: their focaccia filled with prosciutto, mozzarella, aubergine, peppers and pesto - it is insanely good!!

I live in Angel and frequently visit this Deli. I have been a customer for a couple of years now and can assure that the people running and working in the business are very compromise and respectful with the customers. They have a great customer service and the products are unique and accessible.

I don’t usually write reviews, but I feel the need to speak up about what happened during my visit. My friend and I went to this shop, which also sells coffee and has a few tables outside. From the moment we arrived, the woman working there—who looked to be in her 20s—was extremely rude and unwelcoming.

She completely ignored my Black friend whenever he spoke. She wouldn’t look at him or respond, acting like he wasn’t even there. I had to repeat several times that he was talking to her. Instead of responding respectfully, she suddenly shouted, ā€œI didn’t hear! I didn’t hear!ā€ with an attitude. I stayed calm and just said, ā€œOkay, but now that he is speaking to you, you can speak to him.ā€ She rolled her eyes and continued giving us attitude.

We still ordered drinks and wanted to sit outside, but the seating area was soaked from the rain. I politely asked if she could dry the seats. She came out with a tiny, already wet cloth and half-heartedly tried to dry them. I then suggested she might want to use a dry one, since everything was still wet. She rolled her eyes again and walked off without saying anything.

At that point, I quietly told my friend that I was going to report her—meaning I would leave a review to share what we had experienced, because what happened felt like blatant racism and extremely unfair treatment. I said this quietly, without making a scene, but she must have been eavesdropping because she came storming back outside and started shouting at me in front of everyone. She said, ā€œI’m not racist, I’m Colombian! I’m not even from here!ā€ as if that somehow proved she couldn’t be racist. But racism isn’t about nationality—anyone can be racist, and her actions clearly showed bias.

Earlier, I had asked what time they closed and she said 9 PM. But at 8 PM, when my friend asked for another coffee, she told him the coffee machine was already closed. It felt like she just didn’t want to serve him. Every single thing we experienced—how she ignored him, gave constant attitude, refused simple requests, and then shouted at me for planning to leave a review—was unacceptable.

I stayed calm throughout and didn’t argue or raise my voice once. But no one should have to deal with rude, unprofessional, and discriminatory treatment like this. I really don’t recommend going to this place. No one deserves to feel disrespected or be shouted at in public just for trying to enjoy a drink.

Expensive, high quality foods. They stock two varieties of Dusty Knuckle bread which is truly amazing sourdough - but you pay for it. Perhaps they could broaden their range? Some lesser found options for little cakes available. Staff are always lovely.

Such a wonderful boutique deli in the heart of angel. Love coming here in the weekend and finding a new oil, wine, sauce, or dressing to take home and try. A great selection of tinned seafood too, so if you like sardines, scallops, squid or trout this is a must visit.

A really nice food shop with lots of good, independent brands, across drinks, sauces and more.
Also, fresh bakes - some very tempting hot empanadas on display.
I am looking forward to returning soon.
