We booked the Ollerod for a few days. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was well decorated and clean with a comfortable bed. But the standout feature of the Ollerod is the outstanding restaurant. They have a chef who is imaginative and inventive. Everything we had was delicious. Can not recommend enough.

Stayed here for 2 nights at the beginning of April 25. Had dinner here and the food was great, but it was a very rushed service - very small space between courses; it almost felt like they wanted us through and out so they could re-sit the table. We wanted to savour and enjoy the food (which, to be fair, was good, if a bit over-seasoned) but it was all too rushed to be relaxing.
The room was great though - clean and one of the more spacious 'pub' style rooms I've been in - and the staff/service were excellent.
Slow down my friday evening dinner, let me relax and enjoy it and you'd have got 5 stars!

Lovely meal here. A great value set lunch is available but we had some of the mainly Asian themed small plates. Standouts were the Thai vegetable fritters, the lightest tempura of prawn and the Guinness/toffee sponge with stout ice cream. Service was excellent by a couple of very efficient young ladies. Only visiting the area for a few days unfortunately. Would love to have a gem like this in our town!

We had a delicious lunch at The Ollerod - the staff couldn’t have been more friendly and accommodating to our party, plus the food and drinks were fantastic. We sat in the garden which was peaceful and beautifully kept. Couldn’t recommend The Ollerod highly enough!

We couldn't have been better looked after at The Ollerod. Every member of staff was so accomodating, warm and personable - they truly bent over backwards to make sure everything was just right. They even helped us book a taxi back to the nearest station at the end of the trip, when we were really struggling. (My only advice if you're staying in the area for weddings etc - learn from our mistake and book your taxis well in advance!) I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

First time in Beaminster and at the Ollerod; we LOVED it. Staff so friendly and helpful, dog-friendly room with loads of space and oh-so comfy bed. Dinner in the restaurant was superb. Enjoyed a gorgeous 8-mile walk from the front door. Will definitely return.

Just moved to the area and were keen to visit and we weren't disappointed. Lovely friendly and helpful staff. Sat in the garden which was beautiful and well kept. Had some starters as a kind of tapas and was absolutely delicious. What a gem of a place 👏
