Nice place to chill and socialise. They have a charity shop with furniture and clothes and toys for children. They also sell coffee and drinks. There is a bicycle project and a place to relax.

Our first visit to the new Cirencester Long Table. The food was delicious, the service friendly and good to see the place nicely busy. My bike will be in for a service soon!

This is how dining in a shared space should be. Socially accessible, friendly, warm and uncommercial. The food is delicious and served with love as well as taste. Young and old spending affordable evenings together in happy times. Hey Thomas

It's shocking to hear that some sleazy capitalist wants to close this down in order to make money from selling posh homes. Please go. Please be inspired. Please set up similar places.

Visiting my dad and came here and loved it; great concept and brilliant idea of contributions for food and those who have money can pay more in order for those less privileged can eat and pay less.
Managed to buy a wooden side table that have been looking to find for ages.
Boys had a lovely time and played table tennis.
Fantastic atmosphere

UPDATE 03/04/2024: Oh dear. Since my last update below the marvellous Long Table (and Furniture Bank, Kids Stuff, Bike Shed and the Sanctuary) are having to look for alternative accommodation again after all their hard work renovating Brimscombe Mill into a safe community hub with a warm welcome and warm food. Enjoyed a lovely lunch today - "vegeree" (kedgeree without the fish), cake and hot drinks. New photos added! Please go and show your support!

UPDATE: The Long Table has had to move due to the redevelopment of Brimscombe Port over the way to Brimscombe Mill. Check out their website for more info.

We all know, or should know, what a fantastic community spirited idea the Long Table/Freezer of Love is but have you been to Brimscombe on a Thursday or Friday to enjoy a hot lunch for £6? You never know what's on offer but I find it's always good - tasty, nutritious and value for money. Now that Covid restrictions are lifted you can eat indoors in pleasant surroundings ... and the cakes on offer are beyond scrummy! Believe there's also an early evening service but please check. Do go and support this wonderful venture!
