Great location. Great service. Great breakfast.
We stopped here for breakfast on our first day on holiday and what can I say it was really nice. The location of the Lazy Shack and especially its outdoor seating area are right on the beach with an unspoiled view across the sea. Dog and family friendly. We ordered our meals at the tables when the friendly waitress came over and got everything perfect for us. Reasonable prices for delicious food. We liked everything about the Lazy Shack and definitely recommend it. They don’t have a car park but you can park on the street at the sea front.

I have try order coffee for start and would take time to choose food, but my coffe order has been refused as lady said to me she will only take order all together with food? So had to wait another 10-15min until she came back again. This looks to me quite rude.
We have for the beginning small dish and coffe with cake which I must say everything was great.
We came back at 15.40-15.45 after walk along the beach to order proper lunch, as restaurant states is opened untill 4pm. Unfortunately all chairs was already on the tables and everything was cleaned up, they told us they closing so can not order the food, we could not even use toilet. To me if you open till 4 you should serve food untill 4, otherwise you should state this as a opening time otherwise even if I would order food at 15.10 and it will be served at 15.30 I would not feel comfortable if someone is cleaning around me and putting chairs on the table.
For this 2 reasons - 1. Way the lady was serving us and 2. Early closures - for me service is on very low level.

Enjoyed half dozen oysters and portion of chips. Great food and views.

For non-regulars it's not clear the protocol for finding a table first etc etc which I could see was causing confusion

Love The Lazy Shack for our weekend breakfast. Lots of seating inside, and even more seating outside when the weather is fine. Good choice of food, well cooked and friendly staff but most importantly, dog friendly and we always get a sausage for him to enjoy while we are eating!

Well run and full of fun. Found this gem of a place along the front at Hythe. Great team of staff all working hard to ensure you got what you came for. Friendly patrons a plus. Old lifeboat station turned into a café. Walls are lined with funny quips and jokey pictures. Plenty of outside seating and for the not so hot days cosy tables inside too. Well worth a visit for a coffee or tea with a sweet treat, or a full lunch.
