I’ve had the pleasure of drinking a good selection of mead from around the globe, so you can imagine my happiness when I found out from a friend who picked us up a bottle, that just down the road from me was “The Lancashire Mead Company”. So after planning on homing a colony of bees at my off grid cabin we had to toast their settling in with a bottle of Skadi’s Mead, which was to my mind an oaky little number with a slight tinge of a single malt, don’t quote me on it, just what I got from it. It was delicious and very very moorish. My happiness was increased when I realised the range they brewed. I can feel my wallet moaning as I write this in anticipation of trying a few more in their range. So far it’s the best mead I’ve tried thus far! Hands down. ?

A wonderful company with very tasty Mead, so many flavors to choose from and even go as far to source their ingredients from people and places that won't have a negative impact on the environment.

I'd give another star if I could. Bin drinking (skadi) there mead for about 2 years. Was given a bottle of Odins today for Christmas. I've just found my new go to mead. Keep up the fantastic work

Ordered 2 bottles of ‘Odin’s Mead’ and straight away you can tell the quality of the mead just by looking at it! They come in great big bottles too. Highly recommend. Delicious meads for an affordable price.

Great mead is a thing of beauty, yet most UK meads are thin, overly sweet affairs which lack body and dimensions. Having drunk Danish meads I had all but given up. Then The Lancashire Mead Company came along. Wow. Lancs Mead (particularly their Odin Mead) is up there with some of the best Danish varieties; rich, multi-dimensional flavour, perfectly balanced sweetness. What an achievement. After 1000 years, real mead has returned to Britain.
