We had a truly delightful evening here. An excellent selection of beers and ciders, none of which I've ever heard of (all the better) but the highlight of the night was the outstanding Japanese cuisine on offer from the kitchen. The tuna tataki and hispi cabbage were to die for, and the gyoza were the standouts - I've had food that cost twice as much in London that wasn't half as good. 10/10 would reccomend, but arrive early if you havent reserved.

Best beer on the mile - always have a nice chat with the staff who are as knowledgeable and passionate about their beers as they are friendly and approachable. Beautiful taproom - wish it stayed open later, but totally understand why this isn’t possible in such a residential area. Looking forward to having another pint here again soon.

We arrived at around 8:45pm on a Saturday and we're happily served. About 30 minutes later we were rudely told to drink up or hand our glasses over and get out. Staff were very unpleasant, but the beer selection was great. Why does a pub on the beer mile close at 9:15 on a Saturday!?! I won't be visiting again.

Super nice brewery stop in Bermondsey. Loved the interior. Simple square metal and wooden tables and seating. Some greenery added in.
Nice ambiance and lighting too.
Super friendly staff.
Great pale selection on tap as well as some others. Bottles available to purchase.

Came for a quick drink. Lots of craft ales. Bit pricey. Atmosphere, smart but a touch bland. Good service.

The Kernel Brewery in Bermondsey is highly regarded as a key spot along the Bermondsey Beer Mile. It's housed in a traditional railway arch, giving it a rustic and unpretentious vibe. The focus here is primarily on the beer, with an impressive selection of hoppy IPAs, robust stouts, crisp lagers, and other varieties served from their 16 taps.

The taproom itself is simple yet charming, with wooden tables and beer barrels enhancing the cosy atmosphere. It opens early on Saturdays at 11 a.m., making it a great starting point for a day of brewery hopping.
While The Kernel doesn’t serve meals, it offers snacks like cheese and charcuterie boards, and there are plenty of food options nearby.

Excellent quality of the beers, emphasizing the authenticity and passion behind the brewing process. The ambience is relaxed and welcoming, making it a perfect spot for both craft beer enthusiasts and casual visitors.

Overall, The Kernel Brewery provides a laid-back, high-quality craft beer experience, well worth a visit if you're in the area.
