We used to stop here for breakfast on our way to Manchester when they had the restaurant, after stopping for lunch on Saturday we can see why the concept had changed-to accommodate the volume of people.

Food slightly on the pricier side, but very tasty! Was so good that we ended up stopping off again on Sunday on our return journey for milkshakes and cake. Was a lot quieter at around 3.30pm on Sunday in comparison to the queues out of the door for food on Saturday around 1pm.

Will most definitely visit again when passing.

Shopped here today, the farm shop is fantastic offering lots of fresh local produce but when paying the member of staff serving us was more involved in a conversation with her colleague, very rude. We then went into the card and gift shop where the staff were so pleasant and friendly. If we lived local we would definitely reconsider a further visit to the farm shop. Manners don’t cost nothing. Our visit was at 16.30, 12/06/2025.

Overall, a lovely place. The farm shop is awesome, good quality produce, alot larger than you expect from the outside. I also love the home and gifts section. The cafe looks lovely with good decor and a good mix of seating. Was disappointed to be served everything in paper bags/cups. At £5.50 for a mocha a proper mug would have been nice when inside, along with proper plates and cutlery for our food. I just don't get the lovely surroundings and then have to collect takeaway from the counter, it's a bit odd. The food was OK, nothing special. The staff were all helpful. The buzzer should really be vibrate only. You can hear the beeping throughout the cafe and it gets annoying listening to everyone's beep. Plenty of parking and gets busy. We did enjoy our visit.

The best farm shop in Cheshire a hidden gem!

The Hollies Farm Shop in Little Budworth is so much more than just a farm shop. It’s a beautifully presented destination for artisan produce, luxury gifts, fresh ingredients, and an excellent café. Whether you’re stopping by for local cheese, homemade pies, or their famous cakes, everything is top quality and well displayed.

We visited for breakfast and stayed longer than planned it’s just that kind of place. Friendly, helpful staff, plenty of free parking, and both indoor and outdoor seating make it a comfortable stop for all ages.

If you’re looking for farm shops near Chester or just passing through, this place is a must-visit. Perfect for gifts, a tasty bite, or a relaxing browse. Every visit here is a treat!

Don’t go to the cafe if you’re a coeliac!
Myself and my mother are both coeliacs and recently went to the cafe in hollies and where they have normally been accommodating we asked about gluten free bread and were REFUSED service of food. Not even advising that it would be our own risk, as we were coeliac they would not serve us food including the packaged gluten free brownies on the side. This was a first for us and shame to see this change. The shop still has gluten free products on offer, just don’t stop here for lunch.

I thought the food was disgusting! Order a ciabatta with avocado! . Looked like slop. And it stated it come with on the vine tomatoes and they were just the big cheap tasteless ones.
The coffee was awful too and Luke warm even after asking for extra hot.
I'd definitely won't be returning. Especially after not feeling good for the rest of the evening after eating it.
Which is a shame as the place has so much potential. It should be run part restaurant (with table service) and part takeaway.

Beautiful shop with a wonderful selection of locally made food and drink. The prices are very fair considering the time and effort that evidently goes into making it. The staff really make the place; they are welcoming, polite and helpful. Overall, a very pleasant experience and we look forward to visiting again.

Went today to have coffee. Quite pricey to be served cake in a cardboard box and iced coffee in a plastic cup. I don't understand the thought process behind this. It is also annoying that there were people queuing and staff just standing there doing nothing. For a supposedly "posh place" not good service in cafe. So much potential. Shame.
