The menu they crafted for us was diverse and delicious, with every dish beautifully presented and bursting with flavour. Our guests were raving about the starters, main courses, and desserts. The quality and freshness of the ingredients were evident in every bite.

Ellie was so patient with us, always quick to respond and offered helpful ideas and suggestions. They were attentive to our preferences, accommodating special dietary needs with ease, and ensuring that everything ran smoothly.

On the day the staff were professional, friendly, and efficient, creating a seamless dining experience for everyone. We received countless compliments from our guests about the food and service.

Hog and Apple catered for our 80 people wedding in August this year, including canapé's, a 3 course meal of sharing platters and a whole pig hog roast. When telling other suppliers we had booked H&A, they all told us we had chosen well and would not be disappointed. And they were right. Every single guest complimented the food at our wedding, many of whom stated it was the best wedding meal they've ever had. Some even telling us it was the best meal they've ever eaten full stop!

The company were responsive and easy to work with throughout the entire process, and our menu was tailored specifically to us which was incredible - they even made our Patatas Bravas specifically to my husbands own recipe (much to my embarrassment, but I am told they were amazing). We had some guests who had special dietary requirements, myself included, and each person had their meal catered to their needs without them feeling like they were missing out or the "odd one".

I unfortunately had food poisoning on the day of my wedding (not from H&A food!) and so was unable to eat anything - however the presentation was incredible, and my dessert platter was saved for me which I ate on my mini-moon (was delicious).
I would go as far as to say that we had too much food, which was a huge relief as with half our guests flying from Poland for their first English wedding, there was some anxiety regarding if we would have catered enough! My only complaint was that we had 3 trays of the hog roast left over, which was left out uncovered overnight at our venue and unfortunately this had to be binned which felt like a waste of really good food.

The staff on the day were absolutely brilliant, attentive and friendly. And those we liaised with in the lead up were equally fantastic. I would recommend H&A to anyone who is planning their wedding, and look forward to potentially actually eating their food at someone else's wedding in the future.

The quality, service and execution was of the highest standard. Hog and Apple catered for our 180 wedding guests flawlessly. Ged is an absolute pleasure to work with - he worked closely with us for months finessing the menu, and on the day provided a unique and personal service. Many guests have said it is easily the best wedding food they have ever eaten, and we would agree! The close working relationship with Wharfedale Grange really showed on the day, and meant we had nothing to think about. Hog and Apple also worked with our cake supplier Iced Yorkshire to deliver an outstanding dessert. Thank you Ged and team!

Our wedding on Saturday 3rd December 2022 was amazing from start to finish. Prior to the event, Ellie (and Ged) our co-ordinator was so responsive to all our email enquiries. From booking an initial meeting to talk us through the menu choices to handling little enquiries around food and guest dietaries, nothing was an issue. Ellie, in particular, was an absolute superstar and even when there was a mix-up surrounding a nut allergy with the cake, she did everything in her power to make it right by us, going above and beyond.

On the day itself, Ellie, the chefs and her team were amazing. Their service was impeccable. The team alerted us to when the food was served, so we could get back to our table after mingling with guests. They do say the devil is in the detail – and honestly it really was. Little things like bowls of pigs and blankets on the side, an extra jug of gravy (especially for us!) and the chips / chips & cheese bowls on the side alongside our evening food were fantastic. They even made sure my husband and I had a special plate of canapes just for us after we’d finished with our photographs.

The food itself was delicious and there was so much of it! Our guests have continued to compliment how fantastic the food was. I asked everyone to come hungry – and I’m glad I did! Often at weddings, you get such small portions but with Hog & Apple all our guests left happy and full. During service, Ellie and her team were so friendly and welcoming to our guests. Cupcakes for the children were also handed directly to the parents to make sure they got them in a timely manner.

Everything truly was professional from beginning to end. So, thank you Ellie and the Hog & Apple team, you made our day truly special, and we’ll certainly be back to taste your delightful food again at your pop-up events!

The hog and apple catered our wedding and we got so many comments on how brilliant the food was! From creative canapes, sharing platters and salads to the (posh) kebabs in the evening everything was an absolute hit. It was all delicious and beautifully presented. The biggest thing for us was the staff- they were all so friendly and attentive and made the day run so smoothly. Highly recommended!

Cracking food and cracking service! The Hog and Apple recently catered for our wedding just over a week ago and provided outstanding service from start to finish. From the first tasting to the actual day, they went out of their way to make sure we could get what we needed and to the best value.
Their food is incredible. They offer something different but still accessible and a real touch above. The guests were very impressed, as were we, and they still managed to pull off great quality for 130 people as they did for four of us during our first tasting. They also provide a great selection of booze and remained v professional in having to deal with a number of last minute tweaks to the table plan due to circumstances unforeseen.
Would thoroughly recommend these guys and their service ran like a well oiled machine! Thanks again for adding so brilliantly to our day 🙂

We used Hog and Apple for our wedding caterers and they were fantastic. We wanted something a bit different and mediterranean inspired and discussed this with Doug on our consultations. They were able to give us exactly what we wanted and provided really good ideas. We had a plated tapas starter and an "italian feast" main followed by a lemon trio. The food was all exceptional - served promptly, presented beautifully and it tasted delicious. Plus there was so much food! Nobody could complain about small portions. We also had falafel wraps and chicken burgers in the evening which were served out by the staff on trays (no big queues needed). All the guests kept telling us that it was the best wedding food they had ever had. Doug even did the MCing for us for the day. Highly recommended!

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to all of the H&A team! Our wedding food was absolutely fantastic. Guests have not stopped talking about it (and some still haven’t eaten since). H&A were all amazing and eclipsed our expectations throughout the difficulties of rearrangement again and again. We certainly partied. It was a day that we’ll never forget!

H&A do not disappoint! Absolutely perfect.
