Used The Grange for a funeral reception. From the moment we contacted them through to the event, Dino and Mike were so warm, welcoming and friendly. They were very happy to accommodate our small requests. The room we used was absolutely perfect for our needs, a lovely roaring fire in the bar area off the main room, with a separate area for the food. It was all laid out so lovely and perfect for a private reception - everyone felt so relaxed . And we were able to use a large tv screen set up provided by The Grange to play a video of pictures with music. The food was amazing , and Michelle had even prepared some special requests that we had. We had family travelling from long distances so the venue was perfect to get people back on the motorway with no town traffic issues. Everyone said what a wonderful venue it was and was a great reception we had to really spend time with family and friends remembering our loved one. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending The Grange and I can’t thank Dino, Mike and Michelle enough for providing the perfect reception.

Be aware!|States they are dog friendly then rip you off an extra £20 when checking in.|Scrapped cars on the driveway what a lovely welcome.|A very small double room had a large wet patch on the carpet then looking above quite clear to see the roof has been leaking. We called the owner to have a look who also agreed but done nothing to help or even offered to move us as the other room available as said nothing else was dog friendly.|Mouldy walls in the bedroom, damp bedding and mould on the ceiling in the bathroom.|We are reporting to environmental health.

Damp carpets, mould on ceiling and walls in bedroom and bathroom. When complained to the owner/manager he was extremely rude. Although you can book a dog friendly room they then charge you an extra dog supplement on arrival. Not worth the money or health risk.

The star rating is more a 2/3 Star the room was okay but very tired looking on arrival the room was very cold no heating on. Kept our coats on till it warmed up. We left the heating on low when we went out next morning so as to come back to a warmer room but the room service turned it off again on return the room was again cold back to keeping our coats on There were only 4 coat hangers that’s not may for some one stoping a few nights. There was no hair dryer in the room which is basic for the star rating.
The amount of shower products was barely enough for one shower. There was only one hand towel for for both of us.the towels were tired looking and thin. The shower run very slow but it was hot. We had to pay extra for breakfasts which is not a problem but but but you would have expected an all in extra cost not pay for tea or coffee as an extra. We were the only people in the breakfast room the person would have been better writhing down what we wanted as you order was not what we ordered. By this time there was so many negatives we just eat what was given. The second morning we just did not stay for breakfast but left and had breakfast down the road and it was cheaper. We regularly stay away both personal and work and this was a poor experience. I hope you take note of my. Comments I am just so pleased that I did not book one of my clients in with you

Spent two nights here.
The beds were comfy, shower was perfect and room was lovely and quiet. Would definitely recommend.
Ours girls loved looking at the alpacas as well.
We stayed in a family room and we liked the two separate rooms as usually my husband and I have to sit in the dark in complete silence whenever we go away.

We stayed in the accessible room. The room was OK, very tired and smelt of damp. The temperature cannot be controlled, radiator was either hot or off. Bathroom very tired and needs renovation. Bathroom was very spacious. |Staff very friendly and helpful. |Would not stay again.

This was for just one night and on my own
My room was clean, warm and cosy
The bed was comfortable
The service was just lovely as was the food (generous portions, hot and reasonably priced). Even my tea cup was warmed up this morning - it’s the little touches that make all the difference
Location beautiful too - ideal when peace and quiet is needed but close enough to the action of that is what is needed too.
Very likely to be back and will definitely recommend
