Awesome Farm Cafe Experience!
What a gem of a place! The food here is seriously good and you can tell they put a lot of care into it. Even though it was super busy, we lucked out and grabbed a table for two right away.
I went for the fried breakfast (two of everything, yes please!) and a big Americano. They told us it'd be about 30 minutes, but our food came out way quicker, which was a nice surprise. Everything was so tasty and definitely hit the spot. And the coffee? Top-notch!
The staff were all buzzing around, but they were so on it – really efficient and super helpful. Shout out to the young guy at the till and front of house, he was incredibly polite and professional. He's a real credit to the team!
Can't wait to go back soon!

Unfortunately, my experience at The Farm CafĆ© was quite disappointing. The food was below average—particularly the English breakfast, which was very mediocre. The jacket potato arrived unevenly heated, partly cold and partly hot, and was served with a tiny portion of salad—just two or three leaves, really. Service was also painfully slow, which only added to the overall frustration. While the atmosphere was fine, it wasn’t enough to make up for the poor food and service. I wouldn’t recommend it.

Really lovely place, very friendly welcoming staff, food was lovely and hot and fresh, superb bubble and squeak! The only downfall was, we waited 40mins for our food, now I don't expect fast food, I like a proper fresh cooked breakfast, and granted, this place was very busy when we arrived, but it might be worth giving customers the heads up if it's busy and telling them a rough wait time? Fortunately we had the time on our hands to wait, but had we somewhere to be we may have decided not to stay had we known it was that busy. That aside, the food was definitely worth the wait, staff work hard and all provide a good service, it has not put us off returning atall, just honest feedback.

Unfortunately we didn’t even get to try the cafe. It’s advertised as 4pm closing, we arrived at just before 3, all the chairs were placed on the tables and all the menus put away, had there not have been 2 customers sat with coffees outside, I would’ve presumed it was closed. There was no staff around for 5 minutes, until a lady appeared and told us they were only serving coffee and cakes now. I understand you need to close at a certain time, but having everything in its ā€œclosing atmosphereā€ isn’t good an hour before actual closing. Was really excited to try the food here, but unfortunately we won’t be returning.

Update......we again stopped on a bike ride, this time during half term!
Very impressed with the prompt service, the size and quality of the Rocky road, and the Avocado Brunch was delicious!

We popped in for a quick brunch on a bike ride, but were told that brunch would entail a 25 minutes wait.... So we opted for a "much quicker" coffee and cake (lovely brownie!) but that also took over 25 minutes!
Suppose that we should have considered that it is still the Easter holidays week before we planned our stop there!
We will try again out of holiday season and hopefully get a chance to try the brunch (which looked lovely!)

Unfortunately a negative experience for the first time we’ve attended.

Had to wait 45 minutes for food when people who had ordered after us, were getting their food before us. Checked in on the staff twice and the second time I was told ā€œyou would have been told the wait timeā€ which was far from the truth. I wasn’t advised at all in regards to how long it would have taken otherwise if I’m honest, I wouldn’t have placed an order in the first place. That made me feel dissatisfied, making me feel like I had lied. Especially the fact that I had my kids with me, so I wouldn’t expect them to wait 45 minutes either.

Such a shame really but the food was nice eventually, not worth a 45 minute wait but still ok.

Was approached by a member of staff after to apologises (my feedback must have been past on) and offered free drinks to us but we had already had our coffees (which took a good 15/20 minutes to come out too).

Giving a 3 star purely for the customer service, longer wait time and system errors, otherwise.. the food was nice and the area looks pleasant for seating customers too.

Very friendly staff! They couldn’t do enough for customers.
Free parking as well. Close to the garden centre, food market, craft shop and other local businesses.
Food was great and they notified us that there was a wait on the food which we didn’t mind. The midi potatoes were yummy and we felt the amount of food in the farm cafe brunch was just right. The toast was also really good.
Highly recommend!
