A relaxed and casual dining experience at The Dormy, Gleneagles

Located in the clubhouse of Gleneagles’ golf course, The Dormy offers a perfect blend of comfort, elegance, and stunning fairway views. Whether you’re finishing a round of golf or simply looking for a laid-back yet refined dining experience, this restaurant delivers on all aspects.

Began with a Caesar salad, featuring crisp bread, a well-balanced dressing, and just the right amount of Parmesan. Alongside it, the prawn and crab cocktail was a highlight. It was fresh, chilled seafood served in a light, creamy sauce and tangy lime have complemented the delicate sweetness of the shellfish.

For mains, the smoked haddock was beautifully prepared, wonderful texture and flavorful, with just the right amount of smokiness. The Scottish sausage in gravy sauce was rich and meaty, with a deep, savory taste that felt very indulgent. Both dishes showcased high-quality ingredients cooked to perfection.

Dessert was the signature crème brûlée, which did not disappoint. The caramelized sugar top had the ideal crispness, giving way to a smooth, creamy custard with a deep vanilla flavor—a delightful way to end the meal.

Beyond the food, The Dormy offers a well-stocked bar featuring a selection of fine whiskies and expertly crafted cocktails, making it an ideal spot for a post-dinner drink. With its picturesque setting, warm atmosphere, and expertly prepared dishes, The Dormy at Gleneagles is a must-visit for both golfers and food lovers.

A restaurant overlooking the golf course Glen Eagles- The service was good. The fish and was scrumptious, and I got to oversee the beautiful golf course. It was quite a serene meal. Almost forgot the blackberry Mocktail was really tasty.

Lovely atmosphere with a roaring fire & great service - Cosmo cocktail tasted delicious but was in a smaller than usual cocktail style glass, at £17 for half the usual cocktail size it was quite disappointing. Lee our lady server was lovely & warrants 5 stars *****, cocktailgate aside, we would definitely return.

Relaxed, top class service, pizzas and drinks are great. We stumbled in at 8ish, tried to order food at 9pm, staff said kitchen closed at 8:30, however they still popped a couple of pizzas on for me and my partner, top class.

Excellent, the staff are amazing, and the fire place is cosy.

We had a lovely lunch for a special birthday. The staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. My father is in a wheelchair and all the staff in the clubhouse were accommodating and helpful. The food was delicious, considering the setting and the huge portion sizes, we found it very good value for money. A huge menu selection made it difficult to choose but we had the haggis and the mussels, which were lovely. We treated ourselves to desserts, which were gorgeous. Thank you to everyone at the Dormy, we will hopefully get the chance to return again.

We can in different hours of the day, for coffee and a light bite to eat during morning time, it was ok but not impressed.

Then we came back another day for drinks and pizza, the pizza was awesome, especially the cheese!

Then we came to a dinner hosted at The Dormy, the dinner was Indian food (curry, etc) and it was great quality and tasted great!

The staff is the best part at The Dormy, especially Roxy, she is the best!!!

Absolutely awesome pizza, so good. Great chilled atmosphere. Only issue with the Dormy on occasion is that the service is way to slow; if it’s a busy night be prepared to wait…. But I would for the pizza.
