This place is a lovely location for a pit stop and claims to have "outrageously good coffee", which was a bold claim that I was excited to try out. Sadly the coffee is the only bad thing about this place - the machine they use is an automated bean-to-cup thing that just isn't up to the standard of a good barista machine. Lovely staff though, very friendly and I'm sure if stopping for food or tea you'll be more than happy.

Absolutely perfect stop for lunch on a drizzly afternoon. Very much the best BLT I've eaten with good thick bacon, perfectly cooked and tasty tomatoes. Sausage sandwich was three whole sausages in a bap, so great value.
Egg bap was also amazing, and the tuna mayo panini was also wonderful cooked to order.

Brownie was also a firm favourite and the raspberry crumble slice was delicious.

Portaloo on site for toilet, perfectly clean ?

Lovely setting of course, stream and fells, with a single shed seating about 8 to shelter in.
Parking for 4 or 5 cars.
Only downside was that my wife's coffee was very strong, while mine was very watery.
Not sure what happened there ?‍♂️ not a problem really.

Didn't get any pictures as we scoffed the lot en route, as the lady very kindly wrapped them to go.

Great stop over if your motor biking, cycling, walking, or just passing by in the car. Fab views, lovely friendly staff, delicious homemade cakes/ refreshments and not badly priced. The cake cupboard is well stocked with homemade treats, water and fresh eggs. Would highly recommend this little gem ?

We had delicious cumberland sausage and egg sandwiches, latte, ginger cake and carrot cake. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Everything is fairly priced with hot food cooked fresh to order, and tasty homemade cakes. Also a beautiful location with benches right next to a stream. A perfect lunch spot for us 🙂

Lovely little stop off. Friendly staff, fab coffee and cake plus gluten-free options. Also able to buy whole cakes to takeaway. Had toilet too which was immaculately clean.

In the middle of nowhere on Birker Fell, an oasis of coffee and cake. Fresh sandwiches made to order with a good selection of locally sourced ingredients. Great views make it an atmospheric setting. This is just a shack though, but plenty of outdoor seating next to a babbling brook, and a handy toilet too!

We loved it here! The cakes are fabulous & we went back several times to get more! Cute little setting in beautiful surroundings. Worth a stop off!
