Michael is excellent at the Cowshed Butchery, he has superb attention to detail and knowledge when preparing and giving advice of the vast array of meat that's on offer, regarding the actual cut of meat and how to prepare and cut it to get the best out of it!

He prepared an excellent beef rib for me, it
was absolutely delicious, and made an excellent mother's day meal for 6 of us, with plenty spare for leftovers.

The meat isn't cheap, but you are paying for a quality local product of restaurant quality if not higher!

We have also had steaks recently and they are delicious and better quality than those that we have had from restaurant's in the local area.

I will definitely be back again soon, Michael has some good banter too, always a pleasure to visit the shop and guaranteed a laugh! ?

So glad I popped in here the other day with my dad, partly because I was able to get him to purchase half the meat in store but mainly because of how amazing this place is!

I would highly recommend the sirloin steak, and the whole chicken. You can really taste the difference. See you again soon!

Made my first visit here on Sunday and was immediately impressed with the superb variety of fresh produce on display, all of which looked very fresh indeed.

I was looking to purchase some beef for lunch and was given expert advice on the range of cuts available by butcher, Michael. He went onto explain how the animals are cared for on the farm, giving the meat its exceptional quality, and he was not wrong. I bought a shoulder of beef, which I slow cooked, and then folliwed Michael's recommendation by making a beef and mushroom pie with the remainder.

My partner is extremely fussy when it comes to beef and he remarked on just how tasty it was before I revealed where I had purchased it.

As someone who always aims to buy fresh, locally grown and sourced produce, I will definitely become a regular customer of this great farm shop.

EXCEPTIONAL quality and service!
I’m visiting from Australia and so glad I found this gem. Michael is lovely and you can see the care he has for his product. The chicken breast are my fav. The juiciest chicken I’ve ever had!

This place is a little find. Always super friendly, passionate about locally home grown products & supply a variety of fab food. We have been coming here weekly for a few years now & wouldn't buy our meat from anywhere else. It's lovely to know that what your eating & feeding your kids has been well looked after from beginning to end, plus it really isn't anymore expensive than the supermarket equivalent!

I have recently started to use here for mainly my meat, and after forgetting all day to go there. I rushed through the door 10 minutes before they closed at 5pm on a Friday. Michael was lovely about it, and I came away with all the meat I needed for a family BBQ.
Their venison burgers and sirloin steaks were a massive hit!

WOW. This butcher and farm shop are a must place to visit. The meat is so tasty. Rib eye steaks were excellent. Own home made sausages, yummy. All produced on the farm. Great fresh vegetables too and some fabulous jams, marmalades and chutneys. Michael the butcher was very welcoming as it was our first visit and it certainly won't be our last. Great little find. The only place we will buy our meat from in the future.
