We had the afternoon tea, I think this is only for Saturdays, but it was amazing. The food was delicious, there was a variety, and the service was absolutely perfect. We really enjoyed it. It's £18 a person and tea and coffee is unlimited. I think you do have to to book for this, definitely worth it, and I would definitely recommend. What an awesome experience

If your looking for an amazing pub with great food then here it is. We booked for a Saturday evening and as the weather was so nice we sat in the garden. The first suprise was a farm shop waiting inside. Lots of fresh veg, fruit, local meat and honey plus the usual cakes ,sweets and drinks. The staff were very friendly and not rushed. There was also daily specials on a blackboard inside. We ordered slow cooked pork belly, asparagus and peas pasta and a side of chips. The food was served quickly but not too quickly and tasted amazing. The portions were really good and everything tasted so fresh. For dessert we shared an Eton mess. We had a j20 and a pint of lager and the bill came to £54. I felt it was definitely worth the price. The garden is well laid out and has plenty of space. Its very dog friendly. Inside the restaurant is separate from the bar. If your passing and not quite sure where to eat or have a drink then give it a go. Its like a hidden treasure.

Wow, what lovely food!
I had the Cod Veronique, it was cooked to perfection. The Burger was excellent too.
Will definitely come again.
The big surprise was that you can buy a superb range of local produce in the bar!!

Beer good but food slightly expensive. Our Burgers weren't the usual standard. The buns were dry and crispy, the meat patty disintegrated on contact, the cheese was very dry and crumbly, but the chips were OK. Could be temp chef as this was a weekday afternoon. At £16 each they could have been better. Visited numerous times over the years and ths pub has got hugely busier although the staff are always friendly and wecoming. Might think twice before visiting again.

Consistently good food and service. A brilliant little shop selling local & homemade products. The afternoon tea is far far better than the posh London ones at a fraction of the cost. They do takeaways too!

We had such a lovely meal in very beautiful garden, bbq ribs, coleslaw and chips and risotto with sweet potato feta and pine nuts, dogs allowed in garden, pub very large and spacious inside, also sold local products, ie milk, bread, cakes fruit and veg. Staff very friendly and accommodating. We saw a herd of deer in field adjoining beer garden and storks in a barren tree, definitely worth a visit.
