A lovely cafe with great coffee, snacks, a special board, cake, and tea! A very laid back place away from the main highstreet but close to the museum. It has a modern feel, spacious and very accommodating. I liked it and glad my walk took me past this little gem.

Added some changes to this review Commute Cafe is the best cafe in town. what is so good to because very few cafe in st Ives are dog friendly like the Commute, it’s quiet and a relaxing atmosphere. Staff are so lovely and chatty you always feel welcomed when you walk in. Now they are making less food !! Low gluten Cakes taste good just wish they could get different ones every now and then. kitchen is pretty small and I don’t see gluten free much which is disappointing for Sandwiches!

Super friendly staff who welcome you in with a smile. The warm banana bread with butter is incredible and the baileys hot chocolate is a must. Highly recommend a visit for a relaxing coffee and sweet treat.

My very favourite cafe in St Ives. I come as often as I can to savour the excellent coffee and food, as well as the continental ambiance. The lovely staff always look after me and I often get great ideas for my writings. Paul the Scribbler.

The service is exceptional. Very friendly ladies. Excellent coffee let down by the worst sandwich I have ever eaten. The bread was dry and it was “hunt the chicken” in my chicken ceaser sandwich. Definitely won’t be eating their sandwiches again.

I always prefer to support independent coffee shops rather than the corporates and The Commute is a perfect example of why. Super coffee (better than anything I've ever had from one of the 'brands'), nice ambience and really nice staff. The cakes and lunches look excellent as well (I'm yet to try those, but will very soon). This is now my 'go-to' café whenever I'm in St Ives. Little gem.
