Got two cuts of ribeye yesterday. The other half won't stop going on about how it was the best steak she's ever had! The bacon was very good too! Will be back.

I've lived across the UK and this is one of the best butcher's around and is a staple for me now in Manchester. Great range of produce with friendly and knowledgeable staff who go out of their way to get you what you need and all at a good price.

Visited Butchers Quarter a few weeks back for the first time and was very impressed. Friendly staff made me feel welcome in the shop and there was a great selection of meats on offer. I got a Ribeye steak and a Pichana and was impressed by the quality of both, a fair price for high quality cuts and a great taste. There was more on offer other than just meats and I plan to check this out when I'm next in. The only shame for me is the opening hours as it doesn't give me any opportunity after work (work in the city centre) to go but obviously businesses have their reasons and it doesn't take anything away from this establishment.

Got two aged sirloins, butcher showed me both , fat side up, and about 1 inch thick. Got them home, and on one, the fat was the thickest part. The steak had been sliced at an angle to form a wedge from the thick fat to the meat edge about half a centimeter thick. Weighed the leftover fat and it took up half the weight of the steak. No way he could of missed that when cutting it.
Other steak was ok, same width throughout and not half fat.

I’m always very wary of reviews that are too effusive: I’m by nature suspicious. Sorry if you’re like me, but this is going to be one of those reviews. We have now used Butcher’s Quarter five or six times, for everything from roasts to steaks to burgers to sausages. Without fail, the food we’ve bought from them has been tasty, melt-in-your-mouth meat of the very highest quality. We’ve just finished a superb sirloin roast (pictures attached) that was both full of flavour and incredibly tender. Food of this standard doesn’t come cheap and we wouldn’t expect it to. But when we get our meat from here it starkly highlights the huge difference between eating and dining. For a stunning dining experience, start by shopping here, you won’t regret it.

The seller has responded and acknowledged their mistake which many businesses would not do, so I do appreciate their honesty.

In reference to their comment on me calling them crooks. I acknowledge I was angry because of the impact these mistakes had on my partners birthday which I had carefully planned.

The butters used by date was the 18th… we bought it on the 25th. Also everything else we bought had the use by date of the day it was bought it (though this has now been explained) Regardless of the reason for the printing error, we still thought it was unsafe and wasted £25.

A top quality butchers and you get what you pay for a bit more expensive than your supermarkets, but quality of foods is exceptional. And the butchers themselves very knowledgeable and more than willing to help. Have been back a few times already. Love the different sausages that they make fresh every week. And I always buy the lamb chop.

Excellent establishment, with friendly and very knowledgeable staff who were more than happy to help… Friends and I came for lunch, steak cooked on the BBQ outside, along with sliced potatoes with cheese and a fried egg, delicious and cooked to perfection. I had a lovely glass of wine recommended by Charlotte, and it didn’t disappoint. This deli is very much worth your time.
