Fantastic Butchers! I do my monthly meat shop here, eat like a king and save a killing. Always worth asking about their deals!

Scrap that. Completely gone down hill recently. Went recently and got a big multipack of steaks. All smelt off, all tough as boots and all way too much fat and cartilage (bad butchering or cost cutting?)

Went more recently and got a Gammon. Decided to cut a piece off for dinner so.i took the netting off and it all fell apart. It wasn't a gammon joint it was just a bunch of off cuts tied together! Should have been sausage meat. Absolute joke.

Their deals are rubbish now too.

For the second year we ordered the xmas £50 meat pack. It contained a turkey crown, joint of Pork, joint of beef, pigs in blankets and sausage meat.
The turkey was gorgeous, and plentiful for a good few days. The pork unfortunately was quite fatty, and after removing, it didn't leave much pork. However it did taste ok.
Just had the beef, cooked in the slow cooker, but I'm afraid it was awful, so tuff, and grissily. The size of the joint was lovely, so we had cut it in to 2 smaller joints. However, I'm not looking forward to the second joint, based on today's experience. Very disappointed.
Pigs in blankets were fine, not yet used the sausage meat.
On this experience, sorry we will not be ordering this again next Xmas.
Overall poor quality of meat, and not up to your usual high standards.
The order was made online and collected from Dobbies Gillingham on 19th December.

If I could do a no star I would. I placed an order for delivery and paid for it the beginning of the month. delivery on the 8. It Failed to arrive. after several attempts to call with No Reply I sent an Email 24 hrs later a reply . O sorry we are have ing problem with delivery. you can either cancel or reorder and we will resend next week . I understand problems can arise ,so I reorder for today That's today 14 feb ..........Nothing turned up again several attempts to call with no reply .. again.........Emails a quicker response this time .......But o we sent you an email saying you can expect delivery 17th Feb .. not received by me , but no phone call.........3 weeks again with No Guarantee of receiving good........or you can cancel ..........The email didn't arrive ,a bit like the goods ordered. I buy from several meat suppliers on line .This is the very worst experience I have had.and Ive been doing this for many years .No communication of issues they have,No customer contact what so ever ..........I will not be using them again .........Will wait and see how long refund takes ....... Not holding my breath .you do so at your own risk.

We ordered a family pack for home delivery. When they delivered they literally chuck all the individual packs of meat on the floor on the doorstep, no bag, no outer packaging, nothing, just plastic sachets of meet on the damp dirty floor outside the front door - pictures below. I complained to the delivery guy and he said this is their 'contactless' way for safe delivery. I also called them on the phone to complain. They are adamant that this is the right thing to do, their customers are more than happy with this, they do not see a food hygiene issue here, so I am supposed to pick the meat packs from the floor, including the germs, and put them on my kitchen counter, and then transfer all these germs into my fridge or freezer of choice, excellent! They told me that if not happy with that, I could wipe the meat packs if I wanted them to be clean. They will not provide bags because 'they cost money' and while the driver carries the meat to your door in a big plastic crate, he puts the meat packs on the floor instead of putting the crate down near the door and letting you pick up the meat from it (like most supermarkets do nowadays, it is not rocket science). They argued and argued that what they do is completely correct, which raises the question of what other things they may be doing behind closed doors, if this is their take on safe delivery and general food hygiene. It goes without saying that we rejected the order and will never order from them again.

Went here as we was driving by, decided to get some beef for suet pudding, was the best beef I’ve had, belt in the mouth.
