Interesting.
The Bull's Head had been on our radar for a while. Love the ethos - 'wild by nature'. A bit of a bumpy journey out, but that's nothing to to with the pub! Recent renovations are tasteful & stylish.
If it wasn't so cold, this would have had a warm welcome! I'm not sure if there was an issue with the heating, but the dining areas were cold, which unfortunately detracted from our afternoon lunch.
Menu was great, short & local. My dish of hogget was great, though my wife was not that impressed with the fish, good but not wow. Sadly we did not linger as we were so cold - really!
Might be tempted to return on a warm sunny day!!

We had a fantastic one night stay here. The staff could not have been more welcoming and friendly. The food was excellent. The owners have done a terrific job on conserving the pub and it’s really cosy warm place for a meal when the weather outside is inclement. The cabins were really cosy and well thought out. Really great place for a short stay, meal or a drink with fantastic walking and scenery from the from door.

This pub is a true gem, the food is outstanding their charcuterie is a must try. The staff are equally as wonderful, we went to celebrate our engagement and they made it so special for us. We can’t thank you all enough. A night we will never forget!

Very cosy pub, the steaks were the best we had ever tasted and service unmatched. We would recommend the Welsh rarebit croquettes starters and chocolate, stout and ginger pudding. Special thanks to Natalie, who coordinated our wedding almost three years ago (at Lower House Farm) and remembered us as soon as we walked in πŸ’–

Rarely do we order pork chops because no one knows how to cook them properly. Today we ate the finest pork chops we’ve ever had. Chapeau Chef! FOH were brilliant and very attentive. Lovely old pub with roaring fires in an idyllic situation. The clear head lager is a 0% alcohol game-changer too. Thanks all for a memorable lunch.

Excellent experience. The menu is small but changes regularly to use good quality local ingredients, and the food reflects this. The staff know the menu really well and are incredibly thoughtful, as I'm pregnant they had to check ingredients in some dishes and did so very carefully. The atmosphere is lovely and welcoming and the space is immaculate.

We stayed the night in the new cabins for our wedding anniversary. Amazing setting, beautiful food and fantastic service from both the bar and restaurant. They are beautifully decorated cabins in an amazing wild flower field setting. The provided breakfast was delicious and we really enjoyed eating it on the decking as the sun rose. Will be back and comes highly recommended.
