The farmers market is a wonderful concept. They offer a great variety of food items. Although some of the items are a bit pricey, I appreciate the layout of the market. Additionally, there is a restaurant upstairs that can be reserved for private events.

My first time in Brixton, I went to the Black farmer shop. Only to my surprise I bumped into the black farmer himself. This made my day.

I was so overjoyed to meet him, as I have followed his progress for years. He kindly took a photo with me and chatted. He's a lovely gown to earth man and often pops into his shop and greets members of the public.

We sat on the mezzanine, we brought a coffee, hot chocolate with a croissant and a blueberry muffin. The muffin had a little bit of cream inside , it was delicious. I brought another one the following day.

The shop is light and spacious to walk around. Stocked with lots of Caribbean food items and Black farmer original items.

We went back on Sunday and brought Black farmer sausages and pies. A bottle of wine, coffee and coco bread.

Definitely worth a visit especially if you meet the Black Farmer. A return visit to The Black Farmer, it was very busy. We brought some samoas, they were lamb with coriander sauce.

The black farmer is a unique experience. This place contains a butchery, bakery and pastry, Caribbean cuisine, delicatessen, dairy and eggs, fruit and vegetables, health drinks, spirits, wines, tea and coffee and many other items.
One of the staff told me to go upstairs and there's a large sitting area where you can read and relax. The black farmer Farmshop is a unique space.
If you're in the Brixton, go to this Farmshop. You will not regret it ?

What a wonderful place. I didn't think that I would be able to find it very easily. But the Cold Harbour Lane route is quite straightforward and quick. I mean that it is very easy to spend all day browsing in Brixton market. But some more good news is that the Black Farmer Farm shop has recently opened a side door entrance. So you can now enter the shop from the famous Electric Avenue (directly opposite the William Hills betting shop) street market side.
I was following the story of the shop's development on Facebook with great interest. Now I have visited the shop. I can see why everyone who has helped put the place together is so pleased with the results. In addition to; sausages, chicken, pork, meat pies, cheese, filled wraps, sandwiches, fruit, vegetables, cakes, beverages, condiments and wines. There's a very good selection of readymade meals; beef stroganoff, chilli con carne, chicken casserole, lamb stew etc. Not forgetting a range of specially designed products to help make cooking, storing and consuming these scrumptious products less complicated.
All of the staff were super helpful and friendly which helped me to feel more comfortable. I would have loved to be able to purchase more goods but I was limited to how much I could carry. I will have to wait until my next visit to be a bit more adventurous.
I must also add that I was very pleased to receive a free bottle ? of bubbly because it was recently my birthday. They are also celebrating 20 years of being in business so these dates must be quite close together.

The entrance is inviting, as you enter there is so much to see. Firstly from Electric Lane tables before you enter with people just enjoying their day or catching up on their laptops. Inside it's beautiful and bright with a good selection of groceries. Chicken burgers for me. And to eat in I bought chicken parties a pastry green tea and a coffee for me and my aunt which we enjoyed upstairs. Which had beautiful plants and relaxing music setting the scene for you to relax. Nice and warm upstairs too.

But first, we walked around the store.

They also have stunning kitchen pieces a few I covet. It's exciting to see so many people supporting this new shop and all have bought something in their support.

We were lucky enough to speak with the Black Farmer himself. And had such a good day that we sat talking with others we met while drinking and eating some of the hot food we’d just bought.

Looking forward to enjoying my chicken burgers the quality looks extremely good. Always looking to get in good quality protein so I will definitely be back. See you all soon. Upstairs is a little gem. Can’t wait to also enjoy the space in summer.

Quality products in a stunning setting.

First time visiting and will definitely shop there again. Please clearly mark the baskets used for shopping as I had to ask a staff member - having them located close to the door would really be helpful. The Jerk chicken sausages were amazing and I only wish I had purchased more than 1 pack!!! I'll be back next week.
