I have been buying biltong from here for the past 5 years and when the product is good, it really is good! The reason for the rating is that there is no consistency with the product and seemingly no concern for quality.

From one batch to the next you can go from perfect, to so dry it's like eating sand. For the cost of biltong, this is not a chance I'm willing to take each time I order from here and so, with regret, I will not be buying from here anymore.

The company also doesn't seem interested in engaging on these concerns on the two occasions I've raised them which is very disappointing.

I ordered 1kg of chilli bites, which cost over £50 - they were incredibly dry, hard and barely had any taste of chilli. The 1kg of biltong slices at a similar cost biltong are equally dry and tasteless.

Overall - very disappointing and expensive.

I'm surprised by the poor reviews below. I find the products are excellent and the seasoning just right. Have spoken to the owner on the phone a couple of times too and found service was excellent

Avoid like covid !!
Ordered almost £40 worth.
Chilli bites were so dry it turns to dust when you bite it. I emailed and tried to call the seller for a refund for unopened packs but no response.
Seriously just avoid !!!

Having spent a lot of my life in SA, I’ve tried to find a biltong in the UK that closely represents the best stuff you can find out there for years - and it wasn't until I discovered the Biltong Company that I realised you can buy biltong here that tastes just as good if not better! So credit to these guys for nailing such a delicious combination of mixed herbs and spice's, top quality meet, texture and service.

Due to COVID 19 I had a delay with my first delivery (lost in the post) but after I sent a quick email, and had a speedy response, I was assured it was on its way. It arrived the next day.

Couldn't recommend these guys any higher, whether your an African blooded carnivore like me or someone that simply wants a taste of Africa to go with a drink in the sunshine.

Drywors are insanely dry and tough. I've eaten my fair share of drywors and never experienced them as dry and dusty as these. Not tried the Biltong yet but I'm a bit hesitant after trying the drywors.
