John was awesome. He was knowledgeable about the trails and gave us helpful advice. We got our bikes and we set off for the day to the tissington trail, did a calm 31 miler it was relatively flat. Bikes were smooth. Basically 20 pound a day rental for an adult. Just leave an ID for collateral. Would return to rent from here again. Great service on my sons bike today
Fixed the front brake - which was hanging off! Also checked the bike, added some air to the tyres and raised the seat. Kind and patient owners allowed my sons to take a test bike ride before confirming it was perfect!
Helpful friendly advice on next bike sizing for our children. Brilliant 5 stars 🌟

The gentleman running the show explained everything clearly and was very helpful. Bikes were reliable and the hire was decent value. A lot of the bike hire places aren't always open but this place does spares and repairs so its open all the time.

Got two nice bikes from the Bike Barn today and took the Tissington trail up to the end. The staff was extremely friendly, told us about a “secret” free full-day parking (you’ll need full day if you plan to take a full route) and supported us by the phone when we got our tire punctured. Bikes had a full repair kit, spare tire and the pump - we had to test ourselves 🙂 Absolutely recommend!

We hired bikes this week to ride the Tissington trail. No problem dropping in and hiring on the day, and we even got lucky with their tandem, which our 9yo daughter was just big enough for, to her great delight. Lovely service and excellent bikes.

We hired out two electric bikes to ride the Tissington Trail. The bikes were great and in perfect condition and come with saddle bags so you can take extra clothing and food and drinks. The owners obviously take very good care of their bikes. They are also very friendly and give you all the information you need to ride the trail. Booking the bikes in advance was easy. The e-bikes make it a lot easier to take on a longer than usual bike ride. We really enjoyed our day of fresh air and beautiful scenery. It's a great day out, if you're thinking of riding the Tissington Trail but lack a bit of confidence then rent out the e-bikes - I'm 57 years old and these bikes made it easy.
