I had a lovely steak and ale pie. There was so much lovely filling that I did not need gravy with my mash and veg! Steak was really tender. Lovely pastry. I only get to visit every few years or so but whenever I go there the owners look younger and more good looking, they must have a Time Machine.

I really wanted to like this butcher. The meat itself looks lovely, and quality is clearly there—but the service is simply not. I wasn’t greeted when I arrived, wasn’t asked what I needed, and certainly wasn’t offered any effort to cut meat to a specific thickness. I purchased two rump steaks and received two totally different sizes—how am I meant to cook them both properly? One gets overdone while the other’s still rare. It’s basic customer care.

I had hoped to pick up some extras—honey, cheeses, pies—but frankly, the lack of engagement stopped me in my tracks. When you’re charging premium prices, a simple “hello” and some effort to understand what the customer wants really isn’t too much to ask. Sadly, this will be the last time I shop here. A smile and a question go a long way.

Amazing local butchers that go way & beyond, their produce is beautiful displayed and ever so fresh. Went there not really knowing what cut of meat I was after, they listened, thry suggested and the family were impressed by just how tender the pork tender loin was.
Highly recommended and I'll certainly be going back.

Best butchers in the area by far.

A family run business that cares.
Great atmosphere and amazing service. Produce is all top notch 👌.
Huge selection including and not limited to proteins, veg, sauces and pies.

BBQ packs are highly recommended.

I've tried all top supermarkets and online butchers.. Was recommend Tender Cuts by friend and will not be purchasing protein from anywhere else.
