I have never written a bad review but I really feel this is warranted. I purchased 3 bantam silkie hens from this business 10 days ago, I didn't get to see the chicken's faces close up as they were held upside down on the other side of the chicken coop wire. They were put in a box, I paid and made my way home. Unfortunately when I got them out at home 2 of the 3 hens had cross beak, one was so severe I am surprised it was able to eat to survive to this point. These chickens costed a premium, and are allegedly fully vaccinated so I would expect them to have a bare minimum of quality/health check. Cross beak happens during development in the egg so I cannot see how these chickens are actually vaccinated as it would have been noticed. I called the business (was told I would get a call back but 4 hours later still hadn't so I had to call again) and requested to swap the 2 hens which they agreed to do at their other shop at Darts Farm which is closer to me. However, there was never any apology, never any acknowledgement of wrongdoing, no compensation for my wasted time and journeys. I just find it concerning that they think it is acceptable to sell chickens in that state at the price that they do... Hopefully just a very unfortunate isolated incident but I'm disappointed to not even have heard a simple sorry.

We have been here twice and have just purchased a starter pack for a few garden hens. The customer service has been incredible and I’m sure we asked lots and lots of very simple questions but they were so happy to spend lots of time with us. The chickens look incredibly healthy and we can’t wait to get started. Highly recommend!!!

We have brought 6 hens from Taylor Made Poultry over the last 3 years, they are a fantastic family run business. First and foremost the hens welfare always comes first, both Matt and Callum are books of knowledge and always happy to answer questions. The hens are beautiful and always have such wonderful characters. Nothing ever seems too much, the team are always happy to help and go above and beyond to make sure the hens have the best care possible. The service they provided through the Covid lockdown was exceptional.

Bought 3 point of laying pullets. Two sussex and a blue Maran. Good healthy stock, no problems so far. Got them about 3 weeks ago. Staff helpful and friendly. Thinking of buying more from them.

Bought three new hens recently from here Abigail who served us was an amazing knowledgeable young lady who effortlessly caught the three hens I chose and advised me on their care, food etc. Would definitely return for more when needed and highly recommend this business to anyone.
