We had our wedding reception in the green room , one of the function rooms for hire. We had a carvery for the wedding breakfast and then a hot buffet for the evening party.
The planning and service along with the food was first class.
A special mention for Karen who plans the events she really did go the extra mile.
That said all the staff deserve a huge pat.
I would highly recommend this place as a venue or if you just want a delicious meal.

11 of us went on a Saturday night, 60th birthday meal.
All the food came out at the same time and was absolutely delicious and when they heard it was my birthday meal they came to the table with a slice of cheese cake with a candle on it and sang happy birthday, what a lovely touch.
Definitely recommend it.

Just had to share our experience at The Tap & Grill @ The Farmers on Saturday evening 22/3/25 for our 50th Wedding Anniversary celebrations.
From the moment we booked this venue to the time we left, we were treated with helpful and accommodating service.
The staff made it very special for us, with a screened off area just for our family, complete with white tablecloths and warmth!!
The food was amazing, Carvery was beautiful and hot and family who had chosen from the Asian menu couldn't praise it enough. The portions were huge and it was all piping hot.
Many thanks go to all the staff who helped us to celebrate a very special time.

Attended today for Sunday lunch. After hearing so many good things we ended up being quite disappointed.

We came in and it wasn’t explained to us that we needed to go to the bar to order. That’s fine, but we could have done with the menus at an earlier chance to go through the options for the 2 young kids.

The kids had meals which were fresh and looked pretty nice. Our son had an adults gammon, just to ensure we could cater for his allergies. Our daughter had fish fingers, but only ate one of them which is unlike her.

We had the carvery, which was a bit hit and miss. I had gammon & turkey. The gammon was ok, but the turkey I was served a slice with a blood clot in and it tasted funny. My partner found the same with her turkey, but enjoyed the beef.

The veg options were wide and appeared fresh. However, there were 2 bits which really let it down. The mashed potatoes were extremely dry and lacked any moisture. It tasted as though the potatoes were purely just mashed without any butter. The other veg which was a bit of a let down was the red cabbage. It tasted like it had been drained out of a picked cabbage jar. The strong taste of vinegar was unexpected during our roast and unfortunately put us off.

Because of our young kids, my partner and I took turns to go up and get our carvery. She informs me that when she went up, the staff were getting their food as well, which isn’t a problem. However, the chef cut the staff beef from the fresh joint and gave my partner beef from the old joint.

I will say that the staff on shift did get our little girl a portion of baked beans which had got confused at the point of order (she was served peas instead of beans, but that may have been my error!). He didn’t ask us about our meal though. However, truth be told, I’m sure he could see we had taken all the turkey off our plates at that point and probably knew that we hadn’t enjoyed our meal at that point.

This has all the potential to be a decent place and to rival local options. So it’s such a shame that it didn’t on this occasion.

Wanted to leave a review on our wedding that we have just had at the weekend .
Karen the wedding planner was first class from helping with all the setting up and being with us both all through our special day .
The photo which has been put on is from our wedding and the green room which is a great room to hire for all events , the DJ which was first class and played to our party . Food was amazing with starters and mains which was carvery served at the table . Over all can't really say anything bad apart from think the new owners are still learning and could do with a few more staff when being served and dealing with wedding etc .
Our day was still made perfect with the use of the green room and also outside garden which is idle for outside photos .

After travelling 2.30 hours to bring my dog to see a eye specialist, we stopped off at this lovely place for lunch. The staff was amazing and nothing was too much trouble. I would highly recommend visiting.

Came here to celebrate a 60th birthday meal total of 33 people, prem was amazing from the get go with orders and pre booking table, all the staff were amazing and really helpful, the food portions are a really good size and price wise is amazing everyone had a mix of carvery, curries and pizzas there wasn't a fault with any of the dishes, we will definitely be returning! Thank you for being so welcoming 😄

The staff were very efficient and friendly, the food was great. Only scored it down because the tabletop was sticky and the general decor was tired and rather dark.
