Due to renovations and having to move out of our property 2 weeks prior to Christmas, my cat Harvey had a very long stay here, we picked him up this weekend.He is always well looked after when he stays here and this was a really long stay. I was concerned how he would be because he is an outdoor cat and has lots of exercise and stimulation. Without request Harvey was moved around different pens every so often just to give him a different outlook, and was put in the playpen to give him more opportunity to stretch his legs, this level of attention is the reason why we wouldn't place him anywhere else. Thank you

My cat just had neuturing a month ago. I put her in this cat hotel since I had business trip to overseas. The staff there is nice and took care of my cat very well. My cat had to wear the surgery collar during the whole period of her stay in the cat hotel. And when I received her back, she was still wearing the collar. I would highly recommend this cat hotel to all cat owners.

I’ve used Tan House Farm Cattery since early 2023 and always been happy with the service, but my recent experience was awful. I was due to pick them up at 5:15pm but was delayed due to a crash on the M6 so I called, emailed, and when I still couldn’t get through I used their emergency line to let them know I’d be 5-10 minutes late. Despite my efforts, I was spoken to rudely and told I couldn’t pick up my cats and that they’d need to stay another night, I work full time, so need to use annual leave to do this. I was directly told ‘well I’m off to Liverpool so they’d need to stay another night’.

I explained that the delay was beyond my control, but I was given no flexibility or options, just told I’d have to pay for another night. I then later emailed to explain the situation, and received a backhanded email with the classic ‘I’m sorry YOU feel that way’ (despite leaving nearly a full hour early for what would’ve normally been a 15 minute drive). Not once have I received a genuine apology, and whilst I understand that it is frustrating for the staff to need to stay (and I did specify 5-10 minutes I’ve not once said 35), I would’ve been fine paying the extra if I’d just received an apology as the complaint wasn’t ever about them staying another night, it was how rudely I was spoken to. This situation caused me a lot of distress, and the extremely poor customer service has completely ruined my trust in this cattery. I wouldn’t recommend them unless they improve their attitude and policies.

Our cats have been here a couple of times now while we have been away, he always comes home pleased to see us, not too badly priced when reviewed against the others in the area and it well away from busy roads in a farm (though the farm does back into the motorway). Would recommend

This is my cats second visit to Tan House Farm Cattery. The staff are so lovely and professional. My cat always seems happy and chilled when he comes back home. I will recommend to all my cat owner friends as its such a good service. Thanks for looking after my cat so well when he visits.

Our 20 year old cat Tabby has just returned from her 1st 3 week stay and we are super impressed with her condition and temperament - she had clearly been well fed and looked after. We found the staff to be helpful, empathetic, polite and kind and always responsive to our requests. Would highly recommend and will certainly use again.
