We (6 of us) did the cheese tour with Stephen and it was absolutely excellent. He was really passionate about the subject and the tour was entertaining as well as so interesting. We learnt so much, Stephen was great at answering questions and making the tour personalised to our questions and interests. This was such a great day out- and nice to do something different. Could not recommend enough.

We did the tour with Stephen and found it absolutely fascinating. It seems small for having so many national and global awards but they take their cheese very seriously- well, as serious as cheese can be! And energy efficient too. Definitely recommended for anyone with even a passing interest in cheese.

Hands down the best cheese I’ve ever tasted. Amazing selection of high quality award winning cheeses for every occasion with new flavours popping up every few months. Friendly and helpful staff, nice location and good atmosphere.

I chose click and collect for my selection of seven cheeses. I was expecting a paper bag, but they came nicely presented in a box. And the cheese is absolutely delicious.
So far I’ve enjoyed the Truffle Ewe with crackers and the Sussex Slipcote on crusty bread and they were both perfect. Smoked Duddleswell today, and I’m saving the beautiful Sussex Floral for the start of spring.
If you are used to supermarket cheeses, these are a revelation.

We attended the Sussex High Weald Cheese Tour on the 17th March as a birthday treat for my uncle.
The tour was conducted by cheese expert Steve Saunders and was the most entertaining and comprehensive guide to cheesemaking, and all the facets that go into making this an incredibly diverse and successful artisan industry.
Steve was a fabulous guide, incredibly knowledgeable and also a wonderful raconteur.
I have been on numerous food and drink experiences over the years (including wine, beer, cognac, port et al) and this tour was by far the most enjoyable.
