From the moment we arrived to the camp site until the moment we left the process was easy!|We stayed on the rally field, lots of families there who all respected others with the rangers checking in to make sure we were all behaving.|Plenty of room on the pitches as they are 10x10mt.|Extremely clean toilets that played bird song while you did your business, these were the cleanest toilet/shower blocks I have ever seen. Fridge and freezers should you want to store food and washing machines if your there a little longer.|Great fishing on the lakes and lovely sunset walks and lots of bird life if you like to listen to bird call.|Lots of geese on the site

Totally brilliant weekend - I've stayed before but this was a first time fishing trip.
The camping pod was super clean and in beautiful location on the Farm Pond and the fishing was great fun.
The shower block is the cleanest I've seen on a camp site and everything worked well.
The cafe/restaurant is excellent and the staff are so friendly. Special mention to Luke the Fishing Bailiff, Gabe at the bar, and the lovely, super-helpful staff on the check in desk!

Had a fabulous cabin 'Robins Nest'.Lovely location Beautiful clean & well presented & lovely little extras in a welcome pack.
Staff couldn't be more helpful.
Minor quib: Cafe a little expensive. Well located, but busy with guests (only march) occupying tables just nursing a drink for too long,
We loved our stay tho & we will definitely return.

What's not to love here, book your own lodge right on a lake and relax. Family friendly with multiple options to stay by a lake from Lodge to yurt. A perfect family get away. Friendly atmosphere, cafe with delicious well presented food. I would absolutely recommend a visit.

good fishing spot. it didn't really feel very secluded though. just behind some houses and next to a big road. and we didn't get any bites with my kid. so we'll try another place next.
tavke shop service was very friendly.

Absolutely fantastic campsite! Booking online was seamless, with instant confirmation giving me peace of mind. I worked remotely during my stay, and it was an absolute dream—great, peaceful atmosphere, and a stunning view of the small pond, with ducks wandering right past my van.

Even in winter, everything worked flawlessly: water and electricity right at the pitch, and convenient access to wastewater, chemical toilet disposal, and rubbish bins. I also loved that you could select your pitch when booking.

The staff were incredibly accommodating—since I was working on departure day, they kindly let me stay longer, which made all the difference. Hands down the best site I’ve stayed at in a long time, and I’ll definitely be back! Highly recommend.

This is an honest review from two people, who are experienced after travelling to many different venues around the country. ||I travel every year to a different fishing venue with my dad. We are both accomplished Anglers and between us we have 85 years experience of fishing. |My dad and I are mainly match anglers, a big reason I chose this venue. |Below is our honest feedback of what was good at the venue and what could be improved. We stayed Friday 16th May-19th May. ||Firstly, the good points. Sumners Green washing facilities are spotless. It really was one of the cleanest shared facilities I have used. |The gentlemen I encountered very early morning cleaning the facilities was a wonderful man to talk to and could not have been more helpful. |The overall appearance of sumners ponds is very tidy and has beautiful scenery. ||Moving on to the improvements-||We stayed in Pod 6 for three nights. Whilst it was as described in advertisement, I believe the price of £250 for three nights was overpriced. I have stayed at better equipped lodges and glamping pods for the same price and less. (No fishing was included in this price) ||We were charged £60 for my dad and I to fish for the three days, one rod. Daytime only. Whilst the website states it has certain species and sized fish in different lakes (we fished match, farm and ribbon lakes) we found this most certainly not to be the case. For example: I’m not sure why it says the average fish in match lake is 8-10lbs. This is rubbish. I can safely say I caught over 100 carp on Saturday and not one fish came close to 8lb. I spoke to several local fishermen who stated it did not contain the species stated nor the size. ||Sumners ponds was far bigger than I was expecting. It had a very commercialised feel to it and unfortunately the lakes suffer because of that. I understand we went on a weekend but the sheer amount of people was heavy. The match lake that we fished Saturday, had no available pegs after 9am. It’s called a match lake but be prepared for carp lines galore and spodding. |||Unfortunately, our biggest disappointment was the lack of control over children fishing. Whilst on match lake I witnessed ducks and moorhens being caught and hooked. This was reported and no action was taken. On our last day we fished ribbon lakes and by 10 o’clock, we were packing up to return to our farm pond pod for some piece away from the children screaming, throwing rocks and get away from the masses of boilies being baited in the tiny lake. ||These children the followed us a proceeded to set up alongside us, not on a designated swim and cast their 20lb fishing lines over the top of my fishing pole. This continued until I politely asked them to stop. They then spodded over it instead. In short, children were out of control and disrespectful to the wildlife. Reported to reception when I left the venue and was met with the response ‘that’s a shame’ after asking me how my stay was. ||Sumners ponds is a nice clean venue but the fishing is second to bringing money in. I cannot speak on what fishing was like on sumners or Betty lakes as we didn’t fish these but from a match fisherman’s point of view, I would not recommend coming here. ||Sumners would improve with some rules and regulations put in on the fishing but I would also remind them to ensure children are supervised

Getting rather over commercial now with the many new houses built along and around the entrance. Feel it's losing its quaintness. Will be absolutely rammed holiday time. Busy already as sun is out and only early April. Beware the building lorries and dust. Lots of both.
