Tucked away in the corner off Argyle Street, you can find the cozy Sugarcane Studio cafe. Serving pastries & drinks, the ambiance was very inviting.

Ordered an iced yuzu hojicha latte with oat milk. First time I ever saw such a combination- very well crafted! The salted egg pastry was a nice surprise. Savory & hit the spot!

If I lived in Bath, this would be one of the coffee shops I’d visit almost every day!

I recently discovered a fantastic coffee shop in Bath, and I’m still buzzing with excitement! It’s a five-star Taiwanese establishment that truly exceeded my expectations. The matcha yuzu tart is a delightful treat—rich and flavorful—and the black sesame latte is creamy and comforting. Additionally, the owner is incredibly friendly and attentive, which makes the whole experience even more special. I genuinely recommend visiting; it’s a wonderful spot that can brighten your day!

The cake was amazing and deserves five stars. However not sure I can endorse the space. It's super tiny, there's no bathroom, I think. It is also very expensive for the size of the cakes even though they're delicious. Happy to have visited but wouldn't come back.

Discovered this hidden gem in Bath! Hands down the best cake we have tried in the whole England!
Tried the macha cake and the Thai milk tea basque cheesecake and they were heavenly delicious!!! Owner is super friendly and caring. Save my day by helping me bake a cake for my daughter’s 17th birthday today! Mind you, No reservation and made it on the spot! Daughter is very picky with sweets but she love it so much! Thank you so much!!! Will definitely visit again whenever we are in Bath! Highly recommend to everyone! 5 star all around!!!

Popped into the shop after lunch. Ordered the mont blanc cake with a hojicha latte.

First mont blanc I've had, the chestnut was balanced with a nice bit of fruit and a nice crust. It was just the right amount of sweet. The hojicha latte had a nice deep tea flavour.

The staff was super nice and friendly. Would recommend this place. The other cakes also looked super tasty. I would have loved to try them all!

This gorgeous little cafe in Bath has become one of my new favourite places, the strawberry and matcha shortcake is truly insane and I’ve not shut up about it ever since trying it! Such wonderful and caring staff! Can’t wait to go back!

a beautiful little cafe just off a side street near the centre of bath. i sought this place out for a slice of pumpkin pie having never tried any before, and was not disappointed! the selection of cakes was amazing - flavours you wouldn’t see every day. the lady behind the desk was incredibly helpful and conversational and it was a fab experience visiting here. for an unsuspecting small cafe, i was incredibly impressed. thank you!

My sister has bought their products on multiple occasions in the past and she couldn’t recommend this place enough if we were to visit Bath. Fast forward to the opportunity for a day out in Bath, I knew we had to stop by here to take care of our sweet tooth.

We went for the strawberry roll cake, strawberry matcha shortcake and matcha azuki gateau and ordered alongside a strawberry matcha latte, blueberry hojicha latte and black sesame drink. My roll cake was soft, creamy and lovely, but what stole the show was my sister’s shortcake. Prominent matcha creamy taste evident and was divine upon each bite paired along with strawberries. Not too sweet. We loved it to the point we ordered another one. Gateau offered the rich matcha and red bean taste you’d expect.

Hojicha blueberry latte came to a surprise upon first sip, very strong nutty taste with overwhelmed me initially with the blueberry, but lovely overall. Black sesame was subtle and didn’t hit me in the face like it did with the hojicha. My strawberry matcha was decent.

I ordered a osmanthus and (salted caramel?) macaron to go that had a chocolate filling. Unfortunately it didn’t survive in my bag on my way back and was crushed, but I love the osmanthus one, the taste of the tea was lovely.

The lady serving us was super lovely.

A small yet cosy little cafe in the heart of Bath. For those who wish to indulge in Asian desserts, this is worth the trip. Would definitely come back.
