Brilliant!!
We came here with our 4 year old, 2 year old and dog on a whim - we were welcomed *so* warmly, and given such a knowledgeable and enthusiastic tour by Kyle.
Then lovely scones and cake in the little cafe afterwards, where they made a fuss of the kids. Didn't have any main food, but the cake was so delicious it easily tidded us over to lunchtime!
Love that it was dog friendly too ❤️

We visited there today for a cuppa and cake and were then treated to a rare guided tour up the working mill. We saw the workings and had it all explained, it was fascinating! We've seen this windmill so many times in the distance from Butts Brow and my 4 year old daughter has been desperately wanting to go there for ages. It was such a lovely experience and all the people there were so friendly.

I recommend a visit, check its open though. It works on a Monday so that would be interesting to see!

Delightful restored Windmill just off the road from Polegate to Westham. Free tour up the mill (lots of steps) and an interesting collection of memorabilia on the ground floor.

Small tearoom staffed by volunteers with lovely home made cakes. It also sells flour milled on site.

It's not open very often so worth checking first, but well worth a visit.

I absolutely love this place my late father Andrew Olivier looked after this place for many a year I think he was the chairman or some title it was many a year ago but I do love this place it's such a peaceful relaxing point enjoyable place to go I advise strongly to go there you many more rewards and many benefits. Cleansing of the soul and then just across the road is the church and just across the road from that is the pub my Dad had 3 or 4 or properties in Stone Cross my my family lives near here I was meant to come down last week but ended up having to do another shift but I'm coming down next weekend I can't wait. Here is a picture of us all together at the windmill

Had been looking forward to visiting the Windmill for weeks. We drove into, what we thought was the carpark, but it was a tiny space and we were informed it was disabled parking. After struggling to turn the car to drive back out, we were met by another vehicle trying to get in, I politely asked him which way he wanted to go, as it was also a joint entrance to a private dwelling, the rude driver shouted " that way, I bloody work here! " Needless to say, we decided not to continue with our visit. Very disappointed.

If you are interested in windmills this is a good place to visit. You are able to go up four floors and see how the flour is milled. Nice little tearoom as well.
