Good variety of products, but disappointed by the quality. Most fruits & veggies were imported from the Netherlands, the “Stockbrook Farm Shop” biscuits have palm oil, the fish cakes/pies have a bad composition (like processed food with preservatives, palm oil, etc.). I wish there were more local products or at least from England rather than importing from Europe!

Customer service wasn’t great. The lady moaned at me for putting the meat in my basket when it should have been paid separately as the butcher was closed. I had no idea as there was no sign and it was my first time here. When scanning the items, she was placing them back on the pile of items to scan so I kept being confused on what was scanned and what I could pack. The machine records everything as “vegetable item” so I couldn’t identify anything either. She was then complaining that she “had a long day”….

After spending £80, I was really put off and didn’t want to spend more. So I didn’t check the plants. I will probably drive to other farm shops or go to Waitrose in the future

My first visit today, and I was really impressed. I spent a modest £30.00 today and bought some really good quality plants. I’ve now added Stockbrook to my top 5 nurseries in Essex. I’ll be returning, there’s no doubt about that.

Always a warm welcome from Julie and the whole team at Stockbrook Farmshop and Nursery. The shop is always well stocked, full of gorgeous fresh fruit and vegetables, meat, fish, cheese, pate and cupboard staples. They also have shelves of wine, delicious chocs and sweets, ice cream, frozen goodies and the artisan bread is to die for. We always shop here for food and all our garden plants and are guaranteed a bright and beautiful display from early spring till late autumn. We look forward to our regular trips to the shop and nursery and to a catch up with the lovely staff. The perfect way to start our Sundays. Thank you All.

Always greeted with a warm welcome. James at his Butcher's stand has the best cuts and at reasonable prices. I make a special effort to pop in for sausages whenever I am in the area. Try them and whatever he has on special, you will be back.
