The quality of the meat is absolutely fabulous and is genuinely free range (one time I arrived there was a small boy running around with the piglets in the farm yard!).
To recommendations are the beer and maple cured bacon and the sausage rolls, but I have also had the most succulent venison steaks I ever tasted.
Totally recommended.

Heard about this place from YouTube and a channel related to real food and supportng farmers. So went along ordered some meat for the following week while buying some meat at the time. Disappointed that when I came to collect the meat, it wasn't put aside and it was frozen (never asked for it to be frozen) and taken from the freezer in the shop so anybody could have bought it.
Additionally ordered two other items of meat again not put aside, and given only one. On reflection i think the owner completely forgot about the order from the previous week and took what was available in the shop. I spent near enough £100 in two visits. Won't be back as live in Bury St Edmunds and made an effort to support farmers but not inclined to travel for a poor service

Great meats and cider. Sausages are a particular favourite. The approach to the shop is not very apparent, but hold your nerve and keep driving, and you'll find where you need to be.

Passed this establishment going to collect some bowls. When it became apparent we weren't going to make it back to the butchers we normally use I gave them a call. The prices seemed reasonable for the produce so we called in.

Rump steak: I can wholeheartedly state that a rump steak from them beats a sirloin from anyone else. Seriously! The flavour is broad, rich, deep, the texture? Sliced straight through one stroke, no pressure. It was melt in the mouth.

Sausages, had their standard sausage. Not swimming in fat, very high meat content, not aggressively spiced. These are superb. Great for casseroles too due to the lower fat content.

Leg of pork. Well it is Gloucestershire Old Spot. The best pork. Rich, moist, succulent. So easy to get cracking on. The taste is amazing.

Now to accompany the pork might in recommend something to wash it down. If you're over 18 leave the apple sauce in a jar. It's not Virgin On The Ridiculous, but don't have too many or you'll get Monk And Disorderly! Yes their own traditional ciders are exceptional! Not carbonated. Still. As delicious as eating an apple. These ciders refresh the palate whilst not being harsh and aggressive. They are the perfect accompaniment to pork. They are also delightful to drink on their own. I haven't tried the lower ABV ciders they sell. But I'm sure if you like a medium sweet cider these will more than tickle your taste buds.

Go, shop, enjoy!

Having just moved to the area in October I was recommended Spinney Abbey for the meat and particularly the Cider. I must admit both have been fantastic. The sausages and bacon were super tasty and definitely tasted much better than any supermarket. The best bit is the cider, Johnny gave ma a sample and I was so knocked out I bought three litres which lasted under a week despite my best efforts to ration it. It is without doubt the freshest best tasting cider I have ever tried. It is clean, fresh, delicious. I recommend a trip to Spinney Abbey and bag yourself some tasty, fresh local meat and you must try the cider.
